استهل بايرن ميونيخ الألماني مشواره في بطولة كأس العالم للأندية لكرة القدم التي تستضيفها الولايات المتحدة، بفوز كاسح (10 أهداف دون رد) على فريق أوكلاند سيتي النيوزيلندي.
وبهذا الفوز يعتلي بايرن ميونيخ صدارة المجموعة الثالثة من كأس العالم للأندية التي تقام لأول مرة بمشاركة 32 فريقاً، وتستمر حتى 14 يوليو القادم.
ويلتقي بطل الدوري الألماني في الجولتين الثانية والثالثة بوكا جونيورز الأرجنتيني وبنفيكا البرتغالي يومَي 21 و24 يونيو الجاري، بينما وضع أوكلاند سيتي الأكثر مشاركة في تاريخ البطولة قدمه الأولى خارجها، ويحتاج شبه معجزة في الجولتين القادمتين ليتفادى الخروج من الدور الأول.

With this win, Bayern Munich tops Group C of the Club World Cup, which is being held for the first time with the participation of 32 teams, and will continue until July 14.
The German league champion will face Argentine Boca Juniors and Portuguese Benfica in the second and third rounds on June 21 and 24, respectively, while Auckland City, the most frequent participant in the tournament's history, has put its first foot outside of it and needs a near miracle in the upcoming rounds to avoid exiting in the first round.
