أعاد لاعب الهلال ميتروفيتش الثقة في نفسه من جديد قبل انطلاقة بطولة كأس العالم للأندية، وذلك خلال مباراة منتخب بلاده أمام أندورا، حيث استطاع تسجيل ثلاثة أهداف (هاتريك)، في اللقاء الذي جمع المنتخبين، ضمن تصفيات أوروبا لبطولة كأس العالم 2026.
وبهذه الأهداف أعاد الثقة لدى الجماهير الهلالية في نجمهم الصربي، بعد المستوى الكبير الذي ظهر عليه خلال اللقاء، يذكر أن اللاعب كان قريباً من مغادرة الزعيم حيث كانت الإدارة الهلالية تريد التعاقد مع المهاجم النيجيري فيكتور أوسمين.
من جانب آخر حملت مباراة أندورا الرقم 100 في مسيرة اللاعب ميتروفيتش الدولية مع المنتخب الصربي، والتي بدأت عام 2013 بمواجهة بلجيكا، ومنذ ذلك الوقت، سجّل اللاعب 62 هدفاً، وبهذا ينصم مهاجم منتخب صربيا و الهلال إلى نادي المئة من اللاعبين الصربيين، ولا يتقدم عليه في قائمة اللاعبين الأكثر مشاركة في التاريخ سوى ميلوسيفيتش (102)، وسافووديان ستانكوفيتش (103)، وبرانيسلاف إيفانوفيتش (105)، و دوشان تاديتش (111).
