حرص الملك عبدالله الثاني على متابعة لقاء منتخب بلاده ومضيفه العماني الذي جمعهما اليوم (الخميس)، في الجولة التاسعة للدور الثالث من التصفيات المؤهلة إلى مونديال 2026، من مقر السفارة الأردنية في لندن، على هامش زيارة عمل خارجية، إذ نشر الموقع الرسمي للديوان الملكي الهاشمي على منصة التواصل الاجتماعي «X» لقطات مصورة لمتابعة الملك عبدالله، إلى جانب بعض الشخصيات، للمباراة، وذلك في مقر السفارة الأردنية في لندن، على هامش زيارة عمل خارجية. وظهر الملك عبدالله خلال متابعته مرتدياً قميص منتخب «النشامى» والشماغ، وفق التقرير الذي بثه موقع الـ«RT».
وفاز منتخب الأردن على مضيفه العماني بثلاثة أهداف من دون رد، ليحقق الحلم الكبير والتأهل مباشرة إلى نهائيات بطولة كأس العالم لكرة القدم 2026.
