أكد لـ«عكاظ» مدير المنتخب اليمني أسعد القماسي، أن المملكة العربية السعودية وفرت كافة أسباب ومقومات النجاح لجميع المنتخبات المشاركة في بطولة كأس الخليج العربي «خليجي 27»، مشيداً بالبنية التحتية والتجهيزات الاستثنائية التي سخرتها المملكة لإخراج البطولة بأفضل صورة ممكنة، واصفاً الحدث بأنه بمثابة «كأس عالم مصغر».
وأوضح القماسي، أن التحضيرات الفنية والبدنية لـ«الأحمر اليمني» لمواجهة المنتخب القطري مساء اليوم (الأحد)، تسير بصورة ممتازة وفي أجواء إيجابية، مؤكداً أن الجهاز الفني واللاعبين يملكون الجاهزية الكاملة للظهور بمستوى يليق بتاريخ وتطلعات الكرة اليمنية.
وشدد مدير المنتخب اليمني على الرهان الكبير على دعم ومؤازرة الجماهير اليمنية، قائلاً: «الجمهور هو سندنا الحقيقي الداعم لنا في كل الميادين، ونعدهم بتقديم أداء شجاع ومشرّف على أرضية الملعب يترجم حجم الدعم والاهتمام، ويعكس مدى التحضير الجاد لهذه المواجهة المهمة في المسيرة الخليجية».
The director of the Yemeni national team, As'ad Al-Qamasi, confirmed to "Okaz" that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has provided all the means and components for the success of all participating teams in the Arabian Gulf Cup "Gulf 27," praising the infrastructure and exceptional preparations that the Kingdom has dedicated to presenting the tournament in the best possible way, describing the event as a "mini World Cup."
Al-Qamasi explained that the technical and physical preparations for the "Red Yemen" to face the Qatari national team this evening (Sunday) are proceeding excellently and in a positive atmosphere, confirming that the coaching staff and players are fully ready to perform at a level that befits the history and aspirations of Yemeni football.
The director of the Yemeni national team emphasized the great reliance on the support and backing of the Yemeni fans, saying: "The audience is our true support in all arenas, and we promise them to deliver a brave and honorable performance on the field that reflects the extent of support and interest, and showcases the serious preparations for this important confrontation in the Gulf journey."
