وصلت بعثة المنتخب اليمني الأول لكرة القدم إلى مدينة جدة، استعدادًا للمشاركة في بطولة كأس الخليج العربي لكرة القدم «خليجي 27»، كأول المنتخبات المشاركة وصولًا قبل انطلاق منافسات البطولة في 23 سبتمبر الجاري.
وكان في استقبال بعثة المنتخب اليمني لدى وصولها ممثلو اللجنة المحلية المنظمة، قبل أن تتوجه البعثة إلى مقر إقامتها في الفندق المخصص للوفد على ساحل البحر الأحمر، وفق الترتيبات المعدة لاستقبال المنتخبات المشاركة في البطولة.
ومن المقرر أن يتواصل خلال الأيام القادمة وصول بقية المنتخبات المشاركة إلى جدة، وفق جداول الوصول المعتمدة، تمهيدًا لبدء تحضيراتها النهائية قبل انطلاق المنافسات.
ويشارك المنتخب اليمني في المجموعة الثانية إلى جانب منتخبات قطر والإمارات والبحرين، فيما تضم المجموعة الأولى منتخبات السعودية والعراق وعُمان والكويت.
وتواصل اللجنة المحلية المنظمة استعداداتها التنظيمية والتشغيلية لانطلاق «خليجي 27»، التي تستضيفها مدينة جدة خلال الفترة من 23 سبتمبر حتى 6 أكتوبر 2026، بمشاركة ثمانية منتخبات تتنافس في 15 مباراة، على ملعبي مدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية ومدينة الأمير عبدالله الفيصل الرياضية، وسط جاهزية مختلف المواقع والخدمات المخصصة للمنتخبات والجماهير والإعلام.
The Yemeni national football team arrived in Jeddah, preparing to participate in the Arabian Gulf Cup football tournament "Gulf 27," being the first team to arrive before the competition kicks off on September 23.
The Yemeni team's delegation was welcomed upon arrival by representatives of the local organizing committee, before heading to their accommodation at the designated hotel on the Red Sea coast, according to the arrangements made for receiving the participating teams in the tournament.
In the coming days, the arrival of the other participating teams in Jeddah will continue, according to the approved arrival schedules, in preparation for their final preparations before the competitions begin.
The Yemeni team is participating in Group B alongside the teams of Qatar, the UAE, and Bahrain, while Group A includes the teams of Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, and Kuwait.
The local organizing committee continues its organizational and operational preparations for the launch of "Gulf 27," which will be hosted in Jeddah from September 23 to October 6, 2026, with the participation of eight teams competing in 15 matches, at the King Abdullah Sports City and Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City, amidst the readiness of various locations and services designated for the teams, fans, and media.
