تعتزم بلدية يَومرا، الواقعة ضمن ولاية طرابزون شمال شرقي تركيا، تقديم مقترح إلى مجلسها البلدي لتغيير اسم شارع «Selvi Sokak» في حي كاشوستو، حيث يستعد محمد صلاح للإقامة، إلى «شارع محمد صلاح»، وفق ما أوردته وسائل إعلام تركية اليوم (الأحد)، في تكريم يعكس حجم الاحتفاء بانتقاله إلى طرابزون سبور.
وجاءت الخطوة بعد انتقال قائد منتخب مصر إلى صفوف طرابزون سبور في صفقة أحدثت صدى واسعاً في المدينة، إذ وقع اللاعب البالغ 34 عاماً عقداً لمدة عامين مع النادي التركي عقب رحيله عن ليفربول، الذي أمضى بين صفوفه تسعة مواسم. وبحسب التقارير التركية، من المقرر أن يتولى المجلس البلدي بحث المقترح خلال الأسبوع الحالي، على أن يتم استكمال إجراءات تغيير اسم الشارع حال الموافقة عليه، ليصبح اسم محمد صلاح حاضراً في إحدى المناطق التي سيعيش فيها اللاعب خلال فترة وجوده مع النادي التركي.
وقال رئيس بلدية يَومرا مصطفى بييك إن انتقال صلاح يمثل حدثاً استثنائياً للمنطقة، معتبراً أن وجود أحد نجوم كرة القدم العالميين في يَومرا من شأنه تعزيز القيمة الترويجية للمنطقة، ولذلك ترغب البلدية في تخليد هذه المرحلة عبر إطلاق اسم اللاعب على الشارع الذي سيقيم فيه.
وتأتي هذه الخطوة ضمن مظاهر الاحتفاء اللافتة بصلاح في طرابزون منذ إعلان انتقاله إلى النادي التركي، إذ تجاوز الاهتمام باللاعب الجانب الرياضي إلى محاولات ربط اسمه بالمدينة والمجتمع المحلي.
وكانت بلدية يَومرا قد أعربت خلال مفاوضات انتقال صلاح عن رغبتها في أن يقيم النجم المصري في المنطقة، قبل أن يتحول الأمر إلى واقع بعد إتمام الصفقة، إذ يستعد منزله في حي كاشوستو لاستقباله بعد انتهاء أعمال التجهيز والتجديد.
ولم تتوقف مظاهر الترحيب عند تسمية الشارع؛ ففي وقت سابق من الشهر الجاري، عرضت إحدى المناطق في طرابزون لوحة جدارية ضخمة تحمل صورة صلاح بقميص طرابزون سبور، في مشهد عكس الحماس الجماهيري الكبير للصفقة. ويحظى انتقال صلاح بأهمية استثنائية بالنسبة إلى طرابزون سبور، خصوصاً أن النادي نجح في ضم اللاعب بعد نهاية تجربته الطويلة مع ليفربول، إذ سجل 257 هدفاً خلال 442 مباراة، وفاز معه بلقب الدوري الإنجليزي مرتين ودوري أبطال أوروبا، إلى جانب ألقاب أخرى.
The municipality of Yomra, located in the Trabzon province in northeastern Turkey, intends to present a proposal to its municipal council to change the name of "Selvi Sokak" street in the Kashusto neighborhood, where Mohamed Salah is preparing to reside, to "Mohamed Salah Street," according to Turkish media reports today (Sunday), in a tribute that reflects the extent of the celebration of his transfer to Trabzonspor.
This step came after the Egyptian national team captain joined Trabzonspor in a deal that created a wide echo in the city, as the 34-year-old player signed a two-year contract with the Turkish club following his departure from Liverpool, where he spent nine seasons. According to Turkish reports, the municipal council is set to discuss the proposal during this week, and the procedures for changing the street name will be completed if approved, allowing Mohamed Salah's name to be present in one of the areas where the player will live during his time with the Turkish club.
Yomra Mayor Mustafa Beyik stated that Salah's transfer represents an exceptional event for the region, considering that the presence of one of the world's football stars in Yomra would enhance the promotional value of the area, and thus the municipality wishes to immortalize this phase by naming the street where the player will reside after him.
This move is part of the remarkable celebrations for Salah in Trabzon since the announcement of his transfer to the Turkish club, as the interest in the player has transcended the sporting aspect to attempts to link his name with the city and the local community.
The Yomra municipality had expressed during the negotiations for Salah's transfer its desire for the Egyptian star to reside in the area, before this became a reality after the deal was completed, as his home in the Kashusto neighborhood is preparing to welcome him after the completion of renovation and preparation work.
The welcoming gestures did not stop at naming the street; earlier this month, one area in Trabzon unveiled a massive mural featuring Salah in a Trabzonspor jersey, reflecting the huge fan enthusiasm for the transfer. Salah's move is of exceptional importance for Trabzonspor, especially since the club succeeded in signing the player after the end of his long stint with Liverpool, where he scored 257 goals in 442 matches and won the English Premier League title twice, the UEFA Champions League, along with other titles.
