تتجه الأنظار إلى حلبة كورنيش جدة، التي تستعد لاستضافة الجولة الأولى من بطولة السعودية تويوتا كسر الزمن 2026، خلال الفترة من 27 إلى 29 أغسطس الجاري. تُقام البطولة بإشراف الاتحاد السعودي للسيارات والدراجات النارية برئاسة الأمير خالد بن سلطان العبدالله الفيصل.
يتكوّن موسم بطولة السعودية تويوتا كسر الزمن 2026 من ثلاث جولات، تقام جميعها على حلبة كورنيش جدة. وتقام الجولة الثانية خلال الفترة من 3 إلى 4 سبتمبر القادم، فيما يختتم الموسم بإقامة الجولة الثالثة خلال الفترة من 15 إلى 16 أكتوبر 2026. وتُوّج فيصل القباني بلقب البطولة في الموسم الماضي 2025، بعد فوزه بالجولات الثلاث وتصدره للترتيب العام عقب اختتام منافسات الجولة الثالثة والأخيرة على حلبة كورنيش جدة. يُتوقع أن تشهد الجولات الثلاث لهذا الموسم منافسات قوية بين المشاركين، في ظل التحديات التي تفرضها طبيعة السباق.
وتُعد بطولة كسر الزمن سباقاً فردياً يُقام على مسار محدد داخل الحلبة، ويهدف خلاله كل متسابق إلى تسجيل أسرع زمن ممكن لإكمال المسار، مع الالتزام التام بخط السير وقواعد السلامة. تركز المنافسة على المهارة في القيادة ودقة التحكم لتحقيق أفضل توقيت، فيما يُحدد ترتيب المشاركين ويُتوج الفائزون وفق الأزمنة المسجلة، وليس بناءً على مراكز الانطلاق أو التجاوزات.
يمتد برنامج الجولة الأولى على مدار ثلاثة أيام، بدءاً من 27 أغسطس، حيث يشهد اليوم الأول إجراءات التدقيق الإداري والفحص الفني للسيارات. يتضمن اليوم الثاني الاجتماع الإلزامي للسائقين وجلسات التجارب الحرة بواقع جلسة واحدة لكل فئة، وتُختتم الجولة يوم 29 أغسطس بإقامة السباقين الأول والثاني، قبل إسدال الستار على المنافسات بحفل التتويج.
تعود بدايات بطولة كسر الزمن في المملكة إلى عام 2018، حين أُقيم موسمها الأول على حلبة الريم الدولية في الرياض، بإشراف الاتحاد السعودي للسيارات والدراجات النارية وبدعم من الهيئة العامة للرياضة آنذاك. وتكوّن الموسم الافتتاحي من ثلاث جولات، انطلقت في أكتوبر واختُتمت في ديسمبر من العام نفسه، وكانت البطولة من أوائل المنافسات المحلية التي شهدت مشاركة نسائية رسمية في سباقات السيارات بالمملكة، وعادت بطولة كسر الزمن عام 2022 ضمن روزنامة بطولة السعودية تويوتا، لتبدأ مرحلة جديدة من مسيرتها تحت مسمى «بطولة السعودية تويوتا كسر الزمن».
تأتي هذه البطولة ضمن جهود الاتحاد السعودي للسيارات والدراجات النارية لتطوير منظومة البطولات المحلية، وتوفير بيئة تنافسية منظمة تتيح للسائقين استعراض قدراتهم وصقل مهاراتهم، إلى جانب اكتشاف المواهب الوطنية وتشجيعها على مواصلة مسيرتها في رياضة المحركات. تسهم البطولة في توسيع قاعدة الممارسين وتعزيز حضور رياضة المحركات في المملكة، بما يعكس التطور المتواصل الذي يشهده القطاع، وقدرة المملكة على تنظيم واستضافة مختلف المنافسات وفق معايير احترافية.
الجدير بالذكر إن الاتحاد السعودي للسيارات والدراجات النارية قد تأسس عام 2006، ويمثل المملكة لدى أبرز الهيئات الدولية المعنية برياضة المحركات بما في ذلك الاتحاد الدولي للسيارات (FIA) والاتحاد الدولي للدراجات النارية (FIM) والاتحاد الدولي للمركبات التاريخية (FIVA). ويُعنى بتنظيم وتطوير رياضة السيارات والدراجات النارية محلياً وعالمياً، من خلال تطبيق اللوائح والقواعد ومعايير السلامة، ودعم المواهب الوطنية وتعزيز الأداء التنافسي.
كما يسهم الاتحاد في استضافة وتنظيم كبرى الأحداث العالمية في المملكة، مثل الفورمولا1، والفورمولا إي، ورالي داكار، وبطولة العالم للراليات، وغيرها من البطولات بما يعزز مكانة السعودية كوجهة رياضية عالمية لرياضة المحركات.
All eyes are on the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, which is preparing to host the first round of the Saudi Toyota Time Attack Championship 2026, from August 27 to 29. The championship is held under the supervision of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, chaired by Prince Khalid bin Sultan Abdullah Al Faisal.
The Saudi Toyota Time Attack Championship 2026 consists of three rounds, all taking place at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. The second round will be held from September 3 to 4, while the season will conclude with the third round from October 15 to 16, 2026. Faisal Al Qubani was crowned the champion in the previous season 2025 after winning all three rounds and leading the overall standings following the conclusion of the third and final round at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. The three rounds of this season are expected to witness strong competition among participants, given the challenges posed by the nature of the race.
The Time Attack Championship is an individual race held on a designated track within the circuit, where each competitor aims to record the fastest possible time to complete the course, while fully adhering to the racing line and safety regulations. The competition focuses on driving skill and precision control to achieve the best timing, while the ranking of participants and the crowning of winners are determined based on recorded times, not on starting positions or overtakes.
The program for the first round spans three days, starting from August 27, with the first day witnessing administrative checks and technical inspections of the cars. The second day includes a mandatory drivers' meeting and free practice sessions, with one session for each category, concluding the round on August 29 with the first and second races, before wrapping up the competitions with an awards ceremony.
The origins of the Time Attack Championship in the Kingdom date back to 2018, when its first season was held at the Riyadh International Circuit, under the supervision of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation and with support from the General Sports Authority at that time. The inaugural season consisted of three rounds, which started in October and concluded in December of the same year, and the championship was one of the first local competitions to witness official female participation in car racing in the Kingdom. The Time Attack Championship returned in 2022 as part of the Saudi Toyota Championship calendar, marking a new phase in its journey under the name "Saudi Toyota Time Attack Championship."
This championship is part of the efforts of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation to develop the local championship system and provide an organized competitive environment that allows drivers to showcase their abilities and hone their skills, in addition to discovering and encouraging national talents to continue their journey in motorsports. The championship contributes to expanding the base of practitioners and enhancing the presence of motorsports in the Kingdom, reflecting the ongoing development witnessed by the sector and the Kingdom's ability to organize and host various competitions according to professional standards.
It is worth noting that the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation was established in 2006 and represents the Kingdom at major international bodies concerned with motorsports, including the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), and the Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens (FIVA). It is responsible for organizing and developing motorsports and motorcycle racing locally and globally, through the application of regulations, rules, and safety standards, as well as supporting national talents and enhancing competitive performance.
The federation also contributes to hosting and organizing major global events in the Kingdom, such as Formula 1, Formula E, the Dakar Rally, the World Rally Championship, and other championships, thereby enhancing Saudi Arabia's status as a global sports destination for motorsports.
