Chelsea took the lead with an early goal scored by João Pedro in the first minute, and the home team equalized with a goal from Josh King in the 23rd minute. However, the visitors extended the lead with two goals from Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer in the 41st and 49th minutes, before Gonzalo Garcia scored Fulham's second goal in the 54th minute.
Chelsea will play at home against Brighton in the next round, while Fulham will play away against Sunderland in the second round.
