أعلن نادي ضمك بمحافظة خميس مشيط تعيين المدرب التونسي عبدالرزاق الشابي، مدرباً للفريق الأول لكرة القدم. ويُعد الشابي من الأسماء المعروفة في الكرة السعودية، ويمتلك خبرة طويلة في الملاعب المحلية، بعدما أشرف مسبقاً على تدريب أندية أبها، والقادسية، والتعاون، والفيحاء، والفيصلي، والخلود، والقيصومة، والجندل. وقد بدأ الشابي التدريب في أوائل التسعينات، وحقق عدة إنجازات وخصوصاً في الدوري السعودي ومنها التتويج بدوري الدرجة الأولى السعودي مع نادي أبها والصعود إلى دوري المحترفين (2018-2019)، والتتويج بدوري الدرجة الأولى مع نادي القادسية والصعود إلى دوري المحترفين (2008-2009)، فيما حصل على جائزة مدرب الشهر في الدوري السعودي للمحترفين خلال موسم 2019-2020. ويأتي تعاقد إدارة ضمك مع الشابي بعد ختام الموسم الرياضي الذي عانى فيه ضمك بعد حصوله على المركز الـ16 في دوري روشن السعودي ما أدى ذلك إلى هبوطه لدوري يلو، في ظل تطلعات جادة لـ«فارس الجنوب» لتصحيح المسار، وخطف بطاقة العودة السريعة إلى مصاف الكبار، وتضع إدارة ضمك ثقتها في الخبرة الواسعة التي يمتلكها الشابي في الملاعب السعودية.
The Damak Club in Khamis Mushait has announced the appointment of Tunisian coach Abdulrazak Al-Shabi as the head coach of the first football team. Al-Shabi is considered one of the well-known names in Saudi football and has extensive experience in local leagues, having previously managed clubs such as Abha, Al-Qadisiyah, Al-Taawun, Al-Fayha, Al-Faisaly, Al-Khulood, Al-Qaisumah, and Al-Jandal. Al-Shabi began his coaching career in the early nineties and achieved several accomplishments, particularly in the Saudi league, including winning the Saudi First Division with Abha and promotion to the Professional League (2018-2019), and winning the First Division with Al-Qadisiyah and promotion to the Professional League (2008-2009). He also received the Coach of the Month award in the Saudi Professional League during the 2019-2020 season. The Damak management's contract with Al-Shabi comes after the conclusion of a sports season in which Damak struggled, finishing in 16th place in the Roshan Saudi League, leading to their relegation to Yelo League. There are serious aspirations for "the Knight of the South" to correct the course and quickly secure a return to the top tier, and the Damak management places its trust in Al-Shabi's extensive experience in Saudi stadiums.
