أجبرت الجماهير المصرية خصوصاً والعربية عموماً، الحكم الفرنسي فرانسوا ليتيكسييه، على إغلاق حسابه الرسمي عبر منصة «إنستغرام»، عقب موجة واسعة من الانتقادات والاتهامات بالتحكيم غير العادل خلال مباراة الأرجنتين ومصر في دور الـ16 من كأس العالم 2026، التي حسمها «التانغو» ضد «الفراعنة» بنتيجة 3-2.
وشهد اللقاء جدلًا تحكيميًا كبيرًا، بعدما رفض ليتيكسييه العودة إلى تقنية حكم الفيديو المساعد (VAR) لمراجعة إحدى اللقطات مع نهاية اللقاء، ووصفتها وسائل إعلام وخبراء تحكيم بأنها خطأ تحكيمي واضح.
كما ألغى ليتيكسييه هدفًا للمنتخب المصري سجله مصطفى زيكو بعد مراجعة لقطة مشابهة عبر تقنية الفيديو، ما أثار موجة غضب واسعة بين جماهير كأس العالم، وسط تساؤلات وانتقادات بشأن ازدواجية المعايير في القرارات التحكيمية، ووصل الأمر ببعض المشجعين إلى التشكيك في حيادية الحكم واتهامه بالسعي لمساعدة ليونيل ميسي والأرجنتين على تحقيق الفوز.
وتوجه عدد كبير من الجماهير الغاضبة من القرارات التحكيمية في مباراة مصر والأرجنتين إلى الحساب الرسمي للحكم الفرنسي على «إنستغرام»، وأطلقوا حملة واسعة عبر التعليقات، اتهموه خلالها بالتحيز وافتقاد العدالة في إدارة اللقاء.
وبحسب ما تداوله عدد من رواد مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، فإن آخر منشور للحكم الفرنسي فرانسوا ليتيكسييه كان يضم 12 تعليقًا فقط قبل المباراة، إلا أنه تلقى أكثر من 17 ألف تعليق خلال ساعات من نهاية مواجهة مصر والأرجنتين، معظمها تضمن انتقادات واتهامات بالتحيز لصالح المنتخب الأرجنتيني.
ولم يتوقف الأمر عند هذا الحد إذ توصلت الجماهير إلى أن ليتيكسييه ظهر بأنه يتابع حساب قائد الأرجنتين ليونيل ميسي، وبعد الحملة الشرسة ولأجل إباعد الشبهات قام بمتابعة قائد منتخب مصر محمد صلاح.

The match witnessed significant officiating controversy, as Letexier refused to return to the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology to review one of the incidents towards the end of the match, which media outlets and refereeing experts described as a clear officiating error.
Letexier also disallowed a goal for the Egyptian national team scored by Mostafa Ziko after reviewing a similar incident via video technology, which sparked widespread anger among World Cup fans, amid questions and criticisms regarding double standards in officiating decisions. Some fans even went so far as to question the referee's neutrality and accused him of trying to help Lionel Messi and Argentina achieve victory.
A large number of angry fans regarding the officiating decisions in the Egypt-Argentina match directed their frustration to the French referee's official account on "Instagram," launching a wide campaign through comments, accusing him of bias and lacking fairness in managing the match.
According to what was circulated by several social media users, the last post by referee François Letexier had only 12 comments before the match, but he received more than 17,000 comments within hours of the end of the Egypt-Argentina match, most of which contained criticisms and accusations of bias in favor of the Argentine team.
The situation did not stop there, as fans discovered that Letexier appeared to be following the account of Argentina's captain Lionel Messi. After the fierce campaign and to dispel suspicions, he began following the captain of the Egyptian national team, Mohamed Salah.
