عقد وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله، ووزير خارجية سلطنة عُمان بدر بن حمد بن حمود البوسعيدي، جلسة مباحثات رسمية أمس، في مدينة مسقط، استعرضا خلالها علاقات التعاون الثنائي وسبل تعزيزها في مختلف المجالات بما يدعم المصالح المشتركة ويعزز الشراكة الإستراتيجية بين المملكة العربية السعودية وسلطنة عُمان.
وناقش الجانبان مستجدات الأوضاع الإقليمية والدولية، وتبادلا وجهات النظر حول القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك، وفي مقدمتها التطورات المتعلقة بمضيق هرمز، مؤكدين أهمية الحفاظ على أمن الممرات المائية وضمان حرية الملاحة، ودعم الجهود الرامية إلى تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة وتسوية النزاعات عبر الحوار والوسائل السلمية.
وتطرقت الجلسة إلى عدد من المشاريع الإستراتيجية المشتركة، أبرزها مشروع المنفذ البري بين البلدين، إلى جانب بحث التعاون في مجالات شبكات النقل والربط اللوجستي، بما يسهم في تعزيز الترابط بين البلدين ويدعم التكامل الإقليمي.
كما بحث الوزيران فرص توسيع التعاون الاقتصادي والتجاري والاستثماري، وتشجيع الشراكات بين القطاعين العام والخاص، والاستفادة من الفرص الواعدة في القطاعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، بما يحقق تطلعات قيادتي البلدين وينقل مستوى التعاون الثنائي إلى آفاق أرحب.
وكان الأمير فيصل بن فرحان قد وصل أمس إلى سلطنة عُمان في زيارة رسمية، حيث كان في استقباله الوزير البوسعيدي وسفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى السلطنة إبراهيم بن سعد بن بيشان.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Al-Busaidi, held an official discussion session yesterday in Muscat, during which they reviewed the bilateral cooperation relations and ways to enhance them in various fields to support mutual interests and strengthen the strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman.
The two sides discussed the latest developments in regional and international situations, exchanging views on issues of common interest, foremost among them the developments related to the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the security of waterways and ensuring freedom of navigation, and supporting efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in the region and resolving disputes through dialogue and peaceful means.
The session addressed a number of joint strategic projects, most notably the land crossing project between the two countries, in addition to discussing cooperation in the fields of transport networks and logistical connectivity, which contributes to enhancing the interconnection between the two countries and supports regional integration.
The two ministers also explored opportunities to expand economic, commercial, and investment cooperation, encourage partnerships between the public and private sectors, and benefit from promising opportunities in sectors of mutual interest, in a way that fulfills the aspirations of the leaderships of both countries and elevates the level of bilateral cooperation to broader horizons.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan arrived yesterday in the Sultanate of Oman on an official visit, where he was welcomed by Minister Al-Busaidi and the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Sultanate, Ibrahim bin Saad bin Bishan.
