8 منتخبات آسيوية تودع المونديال
وشهدت النسخة الحالية مشاركة 9 منتخبات آسيوية، ودّع 8 منها البطولة من دور المجموعات، وهي: كوريا الجنوبية، قطر، إيران، السعودية، العراق، الأردن، وأوزبكستان، فيما ودّع منتخب اليابان المونديال من دور الـ32، ليبقى المنتخب الأسترالي الممثل الوحيد لآسيا في البطولة.
مصر تهدد استمرار ممثل آسيا
ويخوض المنتخب الأسترالي مواجهة قوية أمام منتخب مصر، يوم الجمعة القادم، في تمام السادسة مساءً، على ملعب «إيه تي آند تي»، ضمن منافسات دور الـ32 من المونديال المقام في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وكندا والمكسيك.

وتأهل منتخب مصر إلى دور الـ32 بعدما احتل المركز الثاني في المجموعة السابعة برصيد 5 نقاط، بفارق الأهداف خلف منتخب بلجيكا متصدر المجموعة، بينما صعد منتخب أستراليا إلى الدور ذاته بعد حلوله وصيفًا للمجموعة الرابعة برصيد 4 نقاط، متأخراً بنقطتين عن منتخب الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.

8 Asian teams bid farewell to the World Cup
This edition saw the participation of 9 Asian teams, 8 of which were eliminated from the tournament in the group stage, namely: South Korea, Qatar, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Jordan, and Uzbekistan, while the Japanese national team was eliminated from the Round of 32, leaving the Australian team as the sole representative of Asia in the tournament.
Egypt threatens the continuation of Asia's representative
The Australian team will face a strong match against the Egyptian team next Friday at 6 PM, at the "AT&T" stadium, as part of the Round of 32 in the World Cup held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The Egyptian team qualified for the Round of 32 after finishing second in Group G with 5 points, behind Belgium, the group leader, on goal difference, while the Australian team advanced to the same round after finishing as runners-up in Group D with 4 points, two points behind the United States team.
