كشف المدرب الفرنسي هيرفي رينارد عن مستقبله مع منتخب تونس، بعد وداع بطولة كأس العالم 2026، المقامة في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وكندا والمكسيك.
وكان الاتحاد التونسي لكرة القدم قد أعلن إقالة صبري لموشي عقب الهزيمة أمام السويد بنتيجة 5-1 في الجولة الافتتاحية للمونديال، وعيّن هيرفي رينارد، لكن نسور قرطاج خسروا أيضاً في الجولتين الثانية والثالثة من دور المجموعات أمام اليابان وهولندا بنتيجتي 4-0 و3-1.
اعتراف بالأخطاء
قال رينارد، في تصريحات صحفية عقب الهزيمة أمام هولندا: «لم نكن في المستوى المطلوب لهذه البطولة العالمية، هذا واضح، ولا مجال للنقاش».
وأضاف أن تونس واجهت خصوماً أقوياء للغاية في مجموعة صعبة، مشيراً إلى أن الاتحاد التونسي لكرة القدم يحتاج الآن إلى الجلوس ودراسة ما حدث من أخطاء.
لا التزام بالاستمرار
ولم يلتزم رينارد بالبقاء بعد كأس العالم، قائلاً إن الاتحاد استدعاه لمهمة قصيرة جداً، وإن كلا الجانبين اتفقا على هذا الأساس، لافتاً إلى أن كل شيء يبقى وارداً بعد انتهاء مهمته المونديالية.
وقال إنه بدلاً من مشاهدة البطولة من المنزل، اختار اغتنام الفرصة، مضيفاً: «حسناً، كما تعلمون، ليس لدي ما أخسره».

The Tunisian Football Federation had announced the dismissal of Sabri Lamouchi following the defeat against Sweden with a score of 5-1 in the opening round of the tournament, and appointed Hervé Renard, but the Carthage Eagles also lost in the second and third rounds of the group stage against Japan and the Netherlands with scores of 4-0 and 3-1.
Admission of Mistakes
Renard stated in press remarks after the defeat against the Netherlands: “We were not at the required level for this global tournament, that is clear, and there is no room for discussion.”
He added that Tunisia faced very strong opponents in a tough group, noting that the Tunisian Football Federation now needs to sit down and study the mistakes that occurred.
No Commitment to Continue
Renard did not commit to staying after the World Cup, stating that the federation called him for a very short mission, and that both sides agreed on this basis, pointing out that everything remains possible after the end of his World Cup mission.
He said that instead of watching the tournament from home, he chose to seize the opportunity, adding: “Well, as you know, I have nothing to lose.”
