تسبب انهيار مدرج ملعب تدريبات منتخب السويد لكأس العالم 2026 لكرة القدم، التي تقام في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وكندا والمكسيك، في إثارة الرعب داخل نفوس اللاعبين الذين امتعضوا من الموقف المريب واللحظة التي عاشوها لحظة انهياره.
وسقط المدرج في ملعب فريسكو بالقرب من دالاس على منطقة تضم منصة إعلامية مؤقتة، لكن دون إصابة أحد بأذى في ظل عدم إقامة حصة تدريبية في ذلك الوقت.
من جانبه قال المدير العام لمنتخب السويد ستيفان بيترسون لوسائل الإعلام: «كانوا يريدون هدم شيء ما، لكن يبدو أنه سقط في الاتجاه الخطأ، وأنه لحسن الحظ لم يصب أحد بأذى، لقد فجروا شيئاً ما بشكل خطأ».
ولاحظ لاعبو منتخب السويد آثار انهيار المدرج أثناء وصولهم لخوض حصة تدريبية، لكن المدير الفني غراهام بوتر أكد أن ما حدث لم يؤثر على استعداد السويد لمواجهة اليابان في الجولة الثالثة والأخيرة من دور المجموعات.

Swedish players noticed the aftermath of the stand's collapse upon arriving for their training session, but head coach Graham Potter confirmed that what happened did not affect Sweden's preparation for facing Japan in the third and final round of the group stage.
