أعلن نادي لاتسيو الإيطالي، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، تعيين جينارو غاتوزو مدرباً للفريق الأول لكرة القدم، خلفاً لماوريتسيو ساري.
بيان التعاقد
وقال النادي في بيان عبر موقعه الرسمي: «يرحب نادي لاتسيو ترحيباً حاراً بمدربه الجديد جينارو غاتوزو، وهو واثق من أن خبرته واحترافيته وتصميمه ستساعد النادي على تحقيق أهدافه الرياضية».
ولم يكشف لاتسيو عن مدة التعاقد مع غاتوزو، لكن تقارير صحفية ذكرت أن العقد يمتد حتى 2028.
تجربة مُخيبة مع إيطاليا
ويعود غاتوزو إلى التدريب بعد فترة قصيرة من رحيله عن تدريب منتخب إيطاليا، عقب فشل التأهل إلى بطولة كأس العالم 2026 للمرة الثالثة على التوالي، بعد الخسارة أمام البوسنة والهرسك.
إنجاز سابق مع نابولي
وكان غاتوزو، البالغ من العمر 48 عاماً، قد قاد نابولي سابقاً للفوز بلقب كأس إيطاليا في موسم 2019-2020.
The Italian club Lazio announced today (Tuesday) the appointment of Gennaro Gattuso as the head coach of the first football team, succeeding Maurizio Sarri.
Contract Statement
The club stated in a statement on its official website: "Lazio warmly welcomes its new coach Gennaro Gattuso, and is confident that his experience, professionalism, and determination will help the club achieve its sporting goals."
Lazio did not disclose the duration of Gattuso's contract, but media reports indicated that the contract extends until 2028.
Disappointing Experience with Italy
Gattuso returns to coaching after a brief period following his departure from the Italian national team, after failing to qualify for the 2026 World Cup for the third consecutive time, following a loss to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Previous Achievement with Napoli
The 48-year-old Gattuso had previously led Napoli to win the Coppa Italia title in the 2019-2020 season.
