سجل المنتخب الإسباني فوزه الرابع تاريخياً على منتخبنا الوطني في المباراة التي جمعت المنتخبين اليوم (الأحد) على ملعب «مرسيدس بنز» بمدينة أتلانتا الأمريكية ضمن منافسات الجولة الثانية من المجموعة الثامنة في كأس العالم 2026، وانتهت بفوز إسباني كبير برباعية نظيفة.
وبهذه النتيجة اكتسح المنتخب الإسباني جميع اللقاءات بفوز لصالحه، وكان أول فوز له في مونديال ٢٠٠٦ بهدف دون رد، وفي مونديال ٢٠١٠ بثلاثة أهداف مقابل هدفين، وفي ٢٠١٢ انتصر في المباراة الودية التي جمعتهما بخماسية نظيفة وهيمنة كاسحة باستحواذ بلغ 74% مستغلاً الفوارق الفنية وسط معاناة «الأخضر» في بناء الهجمات.
