حمل نجم المنتخب السعودي السابق ياسر القحطاني، المدير الفني للأخضر دونيس، مسؤولية الخسارة الثقيلة أمام المنتخب الإسباني بنتيجة 4-0، في المباراة التي جمعتهما مساء اليوم على ملعب «أتلانتا»، ضمن منافسات الجولة الثانية للمجموعة الثامنة من نهائيات كأس العالم 2026.
جاء ذلك خلال الأستديو التحليلي لقناة الـ«beIN SPORTS». وانتقد القحطاني، التوظيف التكتيكي واختيار التشكيلة التي دخل بها المدرب اللقاء، معتبراً أن القرارات الفنية كانت السبب الرئيسي في النتيجة التي انتهت عليها المباراة، وقال: «لاعبو المنتخب الإسباني لم يجدوا الرقابة اللصيقة أو حتى الضغط المباشر لذلك سيطروا على المباراة».
وكان المنتخب السعودي قد تلقى خسارته الأولى في البطولة، وسيخوض مباراته القادمة أمام الرأس الأخضر في ختام دور المجموعات محاولاً تعديل مساره في البطولة.
