ودّع المنتخب التونسي عمليا آماله في بلوغ الدور الثاني من كأس العالم 2026، بعدما تلقى خسارة قاسية أمام نظيره الياباني بنتيجة 4-0، في اللقاء الذي جمعهما اليوم (الأحد) على ملعب مونتيري ضمن منافسات المجموعة السادسة.
وبدأت اليابان المباراة بقوة، حيث افتتح دايتشي كامادا التسجيل مبكرًا في الدقيقة الرابعة مستفيدًا من عرضية كايتو ناكامورا، قبل أن يعزز أياسي أويدا النتيجة بهدف ثانٍ بتسديدة قوية من خارج منطقة الجزاء في الدقيقة 31.
وفي الشوط الثاني واصل المنتخب الياباني تفوقه، فأضاف جونيا إيتو الهدف الثالث في الدقيقة 69 بتسديدة أرضية متقنة، قبل أن يعود أويدا ويسجل هدفه الشخصي الثاني والرابع لمنتخب بلاده برأسية في الدقيقة 83.
وكان منتخب تونس قد استهل مشواره في البطولة بخسارة كبيرة أمام السويد بنتيجة 5-1، ليبقى دون أي نقطة بعد جولتين، ما صعّب مهمته في المنافسة على إحدى بطاقتي التأهل.
ومن المقرر أن يختتم «نسور قرطاج» مشوارهم في دور المجموعات بمواجهة هولندا يوم الجمعة على ملعب كانساس سيتي، بينما تلتقي اليابان مع السويد في اليوم والوقت ذاته على ملعب دالاس.
وتتصدر هولندا ترتيب المجموعة السادسة برصيد 4 نقاط بفارق الأهداف عن اليابان، فيما تحتل السويد المركز الثالث برصيد 3 نقاط، وتتذيل تونس الترتيب من دون نقاط.
The Tunisian national team has practically bid farewell to its hopes of reaching the second round of the 2026 World Cup after suffering a heavy defeat against their Japanese counterpart with a score of 4-0 in the match held today (Sunday) at the Monterrey Stadium as part of the sixth group matches.
Japan started the match strongly, with Daichi Kamada opening the scoring early in the fourth minute, benefiting from a cross by Kaito Nakamura, before Ayase Ueda doubled the score with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area in the 31st minute.
In the second half, the Japanese team continued to dominate, adding a third goal through Junya Ito in the 69th minute with a precise ground shot, before Ueda returned to score his second personal goal and the fourth for his country with a header in the 83rd minute.
Tunisia had started its campaign in the tournament with a heavy loss against Sweden, with a score of 5-1, leaving them without any points after two matches, making it difficult for them to compete for one of the qualifying spots.
The "Carthage Eagles" are scheduled to conclude their group stage journey with a match against the Netherlands on Friday at the Kansas City Stadium, while Japan will face Sweden at the same day and time at the Dallas Stadium.
