أكد مدرب منتخب ألمانيا يوليان ناغلسمان أن حارس المنتخب مانويل نوير سيبدأ أساسياً في المباراة أمام كوراساو، المقررة اليوم، ليخوض بذلك خامس مشاركة له في كأس العالم.
وقال ناغلسمان: «جميع اللاعبين في حالة بدنية جيدة، ومانويل نوير سيبدأ المباراة».
وستمثل المواجهة أمام منتخب كوراساو، الذي يشارك للمرة الأولى في كأس العالم، الظهور الأول للحارس «البالغ من العمر 40 عاماً» مع المنتخب الألماني منذ نحو عامين.
وكان نوير قد خاض آخر مباراة دولية له مع المنتخب الألماني، ضمن رصيده البالغ 124 مباراة، عندما خسرت ألمانيا أمام إسبانيا في الدور ربع النهائي من كأس أمم أوروبا 2024.
وأعاد ناغلسمان الحارس نوير من اعتزاله الدولي بعدما ساهم في تتويج بايرن ميونيخ بلقب الدوري الألماني وبلوغ الدور قبل النهائي من دوري أبطال أوروبا خلال الموسم الماضي.
واضطر بطل كأس العالم 2014 إلى التعامل مع إصابة نوير في عضلة الساق خلال الفترة التي سبقت بطولة كأس العالم 2026، ولم يشارك في الفوز الودي على فنلندا بنتيجة (4-0)، ولا في الانتصار على الولايات المتحدة بهدفين لهدف.
ويعني إشراك نوير أساسياً بقاء أوليفر باومان، الذي شغل في الغالب مركز الحارس الأول لألمانيا خلال العامين الماضيين، على مقاعد البدلاء.
Germany's coach Julian Nagelsmann confirmed that national team goalkeeper Manuel Neuer will start in the match against Curaçao, scheduled for today, marking his fifth appearance in the World Cup.
Nagelsmann said: "All players are in good physical condition, and Manuel Neuer will start the match."
The match against the Curaçao national team, which is participating in the World Cup for the first time, will be Neuer's first appearance with the German national team in nearly two years.
Neuer last played an international match for the German national team, part of his total of 124 matches, when Germany lost to Spain in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Euro 2024.
Nagelsmann brought Neuer back from international retirement after he contributed to Bayern Munich winning the Bundesliga title and reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League last season.
The 2014 World Cup champion had to deal with a calf injury before the 2026 World Cup and did not participate in the friendly win against Finland, which ended 4-0, nor in the victory over the United States, which ended 2-1.
Starting Neuer means that Oliver Baumann, who has mostly held the position of Germany's first-choice goalkeeper over the past two years, will remain on the bench.
