كشف الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا) أن القوائم النهائية للمنتخبات المشاركة في كأس العالم 2026 تعكس الاتساع الكبير للبطولة واستمرار جاذبيتها العالمية، إذ تضم 357 لاعباً سبق لهم الظهور في نسخ سابقة من المونديال، مقابل 891 لاعباً يستعدون لخوض التجربة للمرة الأولى في مسيرتهم.
وأشار «فيفا» إلى أن اللاعبين المختارين يمثلون 449 نادياً موزعين على 71 دولة، ما يعكس التنوع الجغرافي الكبير الذي تشهده البطولة.
كما أظهرت القوائم تفاوتاً في مصادر اختيار اللاعبين بين المنتخبات المشاركة؛ إذ يعتمد المنتخبان السعودي والقطري بصورة شبه كاملة على عناصر تنشط في دوريهما المحليين، بواقع 25 لاعباً من أصل 26 في كل قائمة.
في المقابل، تضم منتخبات الرأس الأخضر والكونغو الديمقراطية وكوت ديفوار وكوراساو والسنغال وأوروغواي لاعبين محترفين بالكامل خارج بلدانهم، في مؤشر على اعتمادها الكامل على مواهبها المنتشرة في الدوريات العالمية.
The International Football Federation (FIFA) revealed that the final rosters of the teams participating in the 2026 World Cup reflect the significant expansion of the tournament and its continued global appeal, as they include 357 players who have previously appeared in past editions of the World Cup, compared to 891 players preparing to experience it for the first time in their careers.
FIFA noted that the selected players represent 449 clubs distributed across 71 countries, reflecting the great geographical diversity witnessed by the tournament.
The rosters also showed a variation in the sources of player selection among the participating teams; the Saudi and Qatari teams rely almost entirely on players active in their domestic leagues, with 25 players out of 26 in each roster.
In contrast, the teams from Cape Verde, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Curaçao, Senegal, and Uruguay include players who are fully professional outside their countries, indicating their complete reliance on talents spread across global leagues.
