يذكر أن الروماني كوزمين، تم التعاقد معه لتدريب المنتخب الإماراتي يوم 19 أبريل 2025 بعقد يمتد لعامين، خلفًا للمدرب البرتغالي باولو بينتو، بعد انتهاء ارتباطه مع نادي الشارقة في نهاية موسم 2024-2025.
