توقع المستشار القانوني أحمد الشيخي أن لا تتجاوز العقوبات المفروضة على لاعبي الأهلي إيفان توني وجالينو الغرامات المالية، وأشار في تصريحات خاصة لبرنامج «نادينا» أنه بناءً على العقوبات المخففة التي سبق وأن فُرضت على مدرب النصر جيسوس وعلى نادي الهلال أو مسؤولي نادي الاتحاد يتوقع أن لا تتجاوز العقوبات المفروضة على لاعبي الأهلي الغرامة المالية، ولن يتم إيقاف إيفان توني أو جالينو.
وأعاد الشيخي مطالبته السابقة بضرورة ضبط مسألة التصاريح قانونياً من خلال اقتراح إلغاء الترجمة الحرفية لمادة المخالفات الجسيمة من لوائح الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم، مشيراً إلى أن هذه الخطوة ستساهم في تقليل الاجتهادات وضبط الجو العام، كما حدث سابقاً مع المادة الخاصة بالمقذوفات الجماهيرية.
