لقّن نيوم مضيفه الاتحاد درساً قاسياً بعد الفوز عليه 4/ 3، في اللقاء الذي جمع بينهما على استاد مدينة الأمير عبدالله الفيصل الرياضية بجدة، ضمن لقاءات الجولة الـ29 من دوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين.
وأحرز أهداف نيوم سعيد بن رحمة (د:3) ولوتشيانو رودريغيز (د:16) ومهند آل سعد (د:55) وعلاء آل حجي (د:90+1)، فيما جاءت أهداف الاتحاد الثلاثة عن طريق يوسف النصيري (هدفين د:38 و44) وحسام عوار (د:49).
شهد اللقاء بداية قوية لنيوم الذي لم ينتظر كثيراً لهز الشباك الاتحادية بعد هجمة مرتدة سريعة لتصل الكرة لسعيد بن رحمة الذي سددها في المرمى، ورغم أن الحارس رايكوفيتش تصدى للكرة إلا أن الحكم احتسبها هدفاً لنيوم بعد العودة لتقنية الفيديو لتجاوز الكرة خط المرمى (د:3). وضاعف نيوم النتيجة بعد هجمة منظمة لتصل الكرة للمهاجم لوتشيانو رودريغيز الذي سدد كرة أرضية على يسار رايكوفيتش هدفاً ثانياً لنيوم (د:16). وقبل نهاية الشوط الأول استفاق الاتحاد وتمكن من تقليص النتيجة بعد تمريرة ذكية من فابينيو من منتصف الملعب للمهاجم يوسف النصيري الذي كسر التسلل وواجه الحارس ماكسيميانو ووضعها في المرمى هدفاً أول للاتحاد (د:38)، ومن ثم أضاف النصيري الهدف الشخصي الثاني له وللاتحاد (د:44). ومع بداية الشوط الثاني ومن ركلة زاوية حول دانيلو بيريرا الكرة برأسه ليكملها حسام عوار في المرمى هدفاً ثالثاً للاتحاد (د:49)، ليرد نيوم بهدف التعادل برأسية مهند آل سعد (د:55)، وفي الوقت بدل الضائع مرر عبدالله دوكوري كرة قصيرة لزميله علاء آل حجي ليسددها في المرمى هدفاً رابعاً لنيوم (د:90+1)، لينتهي اللقاء بفوز نيوم بأربعة أهداف لثلاثة.
وبهذه النتيجة، يحقق نيوم فوزه الـ11 ويصل للنقطة الـ39 في المركز الثامن، فيما تلقى الاتحاد الخسارة التاسعة وتجمد رصيده عند 45 نقطة في المركز السادس.
Neom taught its host Al-Ittihad a harsh lesson after winning 4-3 in the match held at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, as part of the 29th round of the Saudi Pro League.
Neom's goals were scored by Saeed Ben Rahma (3'), Luciano Rodriguez (16'), Muhannad Al-Saad (55'), and Alaa Al-Hajji (90+1'), while Al-Ittihad's three goals came from Youssef En-Nesyri (two goals at 38' and 44') and Houssem Aouar (49').
The match witnessed a strong start from Neom, which did not wait long to shake the Al-Ittihad net after a quick counter-attack that saw the ball reach Saeed Ben Rahma, who shot it towards the goal. Although goalkeeper Rajkovic saved the ball, the referee awarded it as a goal for Neom after reviewing the video technology, confirming that the ball had crossed the goal line (3'). Neom doubled the score after an organized attack that saw the ball reach striker Luciano Rodriguez, who fired a low shot to the left of Rajkovic for Neom's second goal (16'). Before the end of the first half, Al-Ittihad woke up and managed to reduce the score after a clever pass from Fabinho from midfield to striker Youssef En-Nesyri, who broke the offside trap, faced goalkeeper Maximiano, and placed it in the net for Al-Ittihad's first goal (38'), and then En-Nesyri added his second personal goal and Al-Ittihad's second (44'). At the beginning of the second half, from a corner kick, Danilo Pereira headed the ball for Houssem Aouar to complete it into the net for Al-Ittihad's third goal (49'), but Neom responded with an equalizer from a header by Muhannad Al-Saad (55'), and in stoppage time, Abdullah Doucouré passed a short ball to his teammate Alaa Al-Hajji, who shot it into the net for Neom's fourth goal (90+1'), ending the match with Neom winning four goals to three.
With this result, Neom achieves its 11th victory and reaches 39 points in eighth place, while Al-Ittihad suffers its ninth loss, remaining at 45 points in sixth place.
