أعلن الاتحاد الغاني لكرة القدم إلغاء عقد السيد أوتو أدو مدرب المنتخب الأول، قبل أشهر قليلة من انطلاق بطولة كأس العالم 2026، وذلك عقب الخسارة من منتخب ألمانيا 2/ 1 في شتوتغارت استعداداً للنهائيات التي ستقام في أمريكا الشمالية الصيف القادم، وسبق أن خسرت غانا أيضا بنتيجة 5/ 1 من النمسا يوم الجمعة الماضي.
وقال الاتحاد الغاني في بيان رسمي تم نشره عبر موقع اتحاد الكرة في الشبكة العنكبوتية: «أعلن الاتحاد الغاني لكرة القدم (GFA) إنهاء تعاقده مع المدير الفني للمنتخب الوطني الأول للرجال (النجوم السوداء)، أوتو أدو، على أن يسري هذا القرار فوراً، ويود الاتحاد أن يتقدم بخالص الشكر إلى أوتو على مساهمته في الفريق، ويتمنى له كل التوفيق في مساعيه المستقبلية».
واختتم الاتحاد بيانه بقوله: «سيعلن الاتحاد الغاني لكرة القدم عن التوجيه الفني الجديد للمنتخب الوطني في الوقت المناسب».
The Ghana Football Association announced the termination of Mr. Otto Addo's contract as the head coach of the national team, just a few months before the start of the 2026 World Cup, following the loss to Germany 2-1 in Stuttgart as preparation for the finals that will be held in North America next summer. Ghana had also previously lost 5-1 to Austria last Friday.
The Ghanaian federation stated in an official announcement published on the football association's website: "The Ghana Football Association (GFA) announces the termination of its contract with the head coach of the men's national team (the Black Stars), Otto Addo, effective immediately. The federation would like to express its sincere gratitude to Otto for his contributions to the team and wishes him all the best in his future endeavors."
The federation concluded its statement by saying: "The Ghana Football Association will announce the new technical direction for the national team in due course."
