أكد مهاجم باريس سان جيرمان «عثمان ديمبيلي»،أنه وزملاءه اللاعبين عملوا بجد طوال الموسم الماضي للحفاظ على لقب دوري الأبطال الأوروبي، عقب تتويج فريقه للمرة الثانية على التوالي بعد فوزه على منافسه أرسنال الإنجليزي بركلات الترجيح بنتيجة (4- 3) في المباراة النهائية التي انتهى وقتها الأصلي والإضافي بالتعادل (1-1)، وأقيمت على ملعب «بوشكاش أرينا» في العاصمة المجرية بودابست.
وقال: «إنها ليلة استثنائية، إنها ليلة رائعة. عملنا بجد هذا الموسم لتحقيق الفوز المتتالي باللقب. إنه عمل رائع جنينا ثماره الليلة رغم الإرهاق الكبير الذي تعرضنا له»، موضحاً أن فريقه تعرض للضغط أثناء اللقاء النهائي وخصوصاً بعد هدف تقدم الأرسنال إلا أن ثقتهم بأنفسهم قادتهم لمنصة التتويج.
يذكر أن الألماني لوكاس هافيرتز سجل هدف التقدم للأرسنال في الدقيقة (6)، إلا أن عثمان ديمبيلي أدرك التعادل لباريس سان جيرمان من ركلة جزاء في الدقيقة (65).
Paris Saint-Germain forward "Ousmane Dembélé" confirmed that he and his teammates worked hard throughout last season to retain the UEFA Champions League title, following their team's victory for the second consecutive time after defeating their rival Arsenal in a penalty shootout with a score of (4-3) in the final match, which ended in a tie (1-1) after regular and extra time, held at the "Puskás Aréna" in the Hungarian capital Budapest.
He said: "It’s an exceptional night, it’s a wonderful night. We worked hard this season to achieve back-to-back victories for the title. It’s a great effort that we reaped the rewards of tonight despite the great fatigue we experienced," explaining that his team faced pressure during the final match, especially after Arsenal took the lead, but their confidence in themselves led them to the podium.
It is worth mentioning that German player Lukas Havertz scored Arsenal's opening goal in the 6th minute, but Ousmane Dembélé equalized for Paris Saint-Germain with a penalty in the 65th minute.
