طالب المدرب الوطني فيصل الجاري، بالتركيز على عدد محدود من لاعبي المنتخب بدل الـ 50 لاعباً الذين تم اختيارهم مؤخراً من قبل المدرب ريناد، لافتاً إلى أن خسارة المنتخب السعودي الكبيرة من شقيقة المصري بنتيجة (4-0)، في المباراة الودية التي جمعتهما على ملعب مدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية بجدة، ضمن معسكر الأخضر الإعدادي خلال فترة أيام «FIFA» الدولية لشهر مارس، والمقام في إطار المرحلة الثالثة من برنامج الإعداد لكأس العالم 2026، سببها البداية غير الموفقة من التشكيل ومروراً بتمركز اللاعبين وانسجامهم داخل الملعب وقال: «تفوق المنتخب المصري بأخطائنا الدفاعية وخروج خاطئ من الحارس نواف العقيدي»، وأضاف يقول: «عودة سلمان الفرج شكلت عبئاً على وسط الميدان لعدم مقدرته على ربط الثلث الدفاعي بالهجومي ويحتاج لوقت أطول لاستعادة مستواه مع الأخضر»، مطالباً «ريناد» بالاعتماد على اللاعبين عبدالله الحمدان وفراس البريكان في خط الهجوم، بدلاً من اللاعب خالد الغنام.
The national coach Faisal Al-Jari called for focusing on a limited number of players for the national team instead of the 50 players recently selected by coach Renad. He pointed out that the Saudi national team's heavy loss to their Egyptian counterpart with a score of (4-0) in the friendly match held at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, as part of the Green's training camp during the international "FIFA" days in March, which is part of the third phase of the preparation program for the 2026 World Cup, was due to an unsuccessful start from the formation, along with the players' positioning and their cohesion on the field. He said: "The Egyptian team capitalized on our defensive mistakes and a wrong exit from goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqeedi." He added: "The return of Salman Al-Faraj created a burden in the midfield due to his inability to connect the defensive third with the attacking one, and he needs more time to regain his level with the Green." He urged "Renad" to rely on players Abdullah Al-Hamdan and Firas Al-Buraikan in the attack instead of player Khalid Al-Ghannam.
