كشف مدير المنتخبات السورية موفق فتح الله سبب استبعاد مهاجم الحزم عمر السومة من قائمة «نسور قاسيون» لمواجهة أفغانستان. حيث يلتقي منتخب سورية مع أفغانستان 31 مارس الجاري ضمن منافسات التصفيات المؤهلة إلى كأس آسيا 2027 على ملعب الأمير عبد الله بن جلوي في الأحساء.
غياب السومة «قرار فني»
وقال فتح الله في تصريحات خاصة إلى «عكاظ»: «استبعاد عمر السومة قرار فني، المدرب هو صاحب القرار الأول والأخير في ما يخص استدعاء اللاعبين». وأضاف فتح الله أن الاتحاد السوري لن يقف عائقاً أمام عودة السومة، في حال طلب الجهاز الفني استدعاءه من جديد.
تفاصيل الأزمة
وكان رئيس الاتحاد السوري فراس تيت قد أكد سابقاً تواصله مع عمر السومة لتمثيل منتخب سورية في بطولة كأس العرب التي أُقيمت نهاية العام الماضي في قطر، إلا أن اللاعب نفى تهربه من الانضمام إلى «نسور قاسيون»، مشيراً إلى أنه سيرد في الوقت المناسب.
من جانبها، أوضحت مصادر خاصة لـ«عكاظ» أن غياب السومة عن كأس العرب جاء نتيجة «سوء تفاهم» بين اللاعب وبعض مسؤولي الاتحاد، حيث طُلب منه أمر ما قبل الانضمام ونفّذه بالفعل، لكنه فوجئ بتراجع المسؤولين عن الاتفاق، ما وضعه في موقف محرج، فاعترض على ذلك، الأمر الذي أثار استياء المسؤولين الذين رأوا أن طريقة اعتراضه لم تكن مناسبة.
The director of the Syrian national teams, Mowaffaq Fathallah, revealed the reason for the exclusion of Al-Hazm striker Omar Al-Soma from the "Qasioun Eagles" squad for the match against Afghanistan. Al-Soma's Absence is a "Technical Decision"
Fathallah stated in exclusive comments to "Okaz": "The exclusion of Omar Al-Soma is a technical decision; the coach has the first and final say regarding player selections." He added that the Syrian Football Association will not stand in the way of Al-Soma's return if the coaching staff requests to call him up again.
Details of the Crisis
Previously, the president of the Syrian Football Association, Firas Tait, confirmed that he had communicated with Omar Al-Soma to represent the Syrian national team in the Arab Cup held at the end of last year in Qatar. However, the player denied any avoidance of joining the "Qasioun Eagles," indicating that he would respond at the appropriate time.
For its part, special sources told "Okaz" that Al-Soma's absence from the Arab Cup resulted from a "misunderstanding" between the player and some officials of the federation, as he was asked to do something before joining and complied, but was surprised when the officials backtracked on the agreement, putting him in an awkward position. He objected to this, which upset the officials who felt that his manner of objection was inappropriate.
