حقق فريق الرياض فوزًا ثمينًا على ضيفه الاتحاد بنتيجة ثلاثة أهداف مقابل هدف، في اللقاء الذي جمعهما على ملعب مدينة الأمير فيصل بن فهد بالرياض، ضمن منافسات الجولة السادسة والعشرين من دوري روشن السعودي.
وافتتح الاتحاد التسجيل مبكرًا عن طريق المهاجم المغربي يوسف النصيري في الدقيقة الرابعة، بعدما استقبل عرضية متقنة من روجر فيرنانديز وحولها برأسية جميلة داخل شباك الحارس ميلان بوريان، مانحًا فريقه أفضلية مبكرة في المباراة.
وواصل الاتحاد ضغطه بحثًا عن تعزيز النتيجة، وكاد ماريو ميتاي أن يضيف الهدف الثاني في الدقيقة 24 بعد عرضية أخرى من روجر فيرنانديز، إلا أن تسديدته مرت خارج مرمى الرياض. ورغم المحاولات المتبادلة من الطرفين، انتهى الشوط الأول بتقدم الاتحاد بهدف دون رد.
ومع بداية الشوط الثاني، عاد الرياض بقوة إلى أجواء اللقاء، مستفيدًا من خطأ للحارس الصربي بريدراج رايكوفيتش، ليتمكن لياندرو أنتونيس من إدراك التعادل في الدقيقة 48 بتسديدة سكنت شباك الاتحاد.
واستمر ضغط أصحاب الأرض حتى نجحوا في قلب النتيجة، عندما تصدى رايكوفيتش لتسديدة فيكتور، قبل أن تصل الكرة إلى توزي الذي تابعها بقوة داخل الشباك مسجلًا الهدف الثاني للرياض.
وفي الوقت بدل الضائع، احتسب حكم المباراة ركلة جزاء لصالح الرياض، تصدى لها رايكوفيتش في البداية، لكن مامادو سيلا تابع الكرة وحولها إلى داخل الشباك مسجلًا الهدف الثالث في الدقيقة 94، مؤكدًا انتصار فريقه.
لتنتهي المباراة بفوز أصحاب الأرض بثلاثة أهداف مقابل هدف. وبهذا الانتصار رفع الرياض رصيده إلى 19 نقطة في المركز السادس عشر بجدول ترتيب دوري روشن السعودي، بينما تجمد رصيد الاتحاد عند 42 نقطة في المركز السادس.

Al-Ittihad opened the scoring early through Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri in the fourth minute, after receiving a precise cross from Roger Fernandes and converting it with a beautiful header into the net of goalkeeper Milan Borjan, giving his team an early advantage in the match.
Al-Ittihad continued to apply pressure in search of doubling the score, and Mario Mitaj nearly added the second goal in the 24th minute after another cross from Roger Fernandes, but his shot went wide of the Riyadh goal. Despite the exchanged attempts from both sides, the first half ended with Al-Ittihad leading by one goal to none.
At the start of the second half, Riyadh returned strongly to the match, benefiting from a mistake by Serbian goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic, allowing Leandro Antonis to equalize in the 48th minute with a shot that found the back of the net for Al-Ittihad.
The home team continued to apply pressure until they managed to turn the score around, when Rajkovic saved a shot from Victor, before the ball reached Tawzi, who followed it up powerfully into the net, scoring the second goal for Riyadh.
In stoppage time, the referee awarded a penalty kick in favor of Riyadh, which Rajkovic initially saved, but Mamadou Sylla followed up on the rebound and converted it into the net, scoring the third goal in the 94th minute, confirming his team's victory.
The match ended with the home team winning three goals to one. With this victory, Riyadh raised their tally to 19 points, placing them in sixteenth place in the Roshen Saudi League standings, while Al-Ittihad's points remained at 42, placing them in sixth.
