استأنف الاتحاد المغربي لكرة القدم، ضد العقوبات الصادرة عن لجنة الانضباط في الاتحاد الإفريقي على خلفية الأحداث التي واكبت مباراة نهائي كأس آمم أفريقيا بين المنتخبين المغربين والسنغالي، والذي توج على إثرها السنغال بكأس البطولة.
جاء ذلك عبر بيان رسمي نشره الاتحاد المغربي على حسابه في منصة التواصل الاجتماعي «x» قال فيه: «بعد اطلاع (الجامعة الملكية المغربية لكرة القدم) على الأحكام الصادرة عن لجنة الانضباط التابعة للكونفدرالية الإفريقية لكرة القدم، والتي توصلت بها الجامعة الملكية المغربية لكرة القدم مؤخراً بخصوص الأحداث التي رافقت المباراة التي جمعت يوم الأحد 18 يناير 2026، بين المنتخب الوطني ونظيره السنغالي، برسم نهائي كأس أمم إفريقيا، والتي شهدت انسحاب لاعبي وأطر المنتخب السنغالي، واقتحام جماهيره لأرضية الملعب، وما ترتب عن ذلك من فوضى وأعمال شغب»، وتابع البيان: «وبالنظر إلى أن العقوبات الصادرة عن لجنة الانضباط لا تتناسب مع جسامة وخطورة هذه الأحداث، كما أكدت ذلك المراسلة الرسمية التي بعث بها رئيس الجامعة الملكية المغربية لكرة القدم إلى رئيس الاتحاد الإفريقي لكرة القدم وحرصاً منها على صون جميع الحقوق التي يكفلها القانون، قررت الجامعة الملكية المغربية لكرة القدم التقدم باستئناف لهذه الأحكام».
The Moroccan Football Federation has appealed against the sanctions issued by the Disciplinary Committee of the African Football Confederation following the events that accompanied the final match of the Africa Cup of Nations between the Moroccan and Senegalese teams, in which Senegal was crowned the champion.
This was announced through an official statement published by the Moroccan Federation on its account on the social media platform "x," which stated: "After reviewing the rulings issued by the Disciplinary Committee of the African Football Confederation, which the Moroccan Football Federation recently received regarding the events that accompanied the match held on Sunday, January 18, 2026, between the national team and its Senegalese counterpart in the final of the Africa Cup of Nations, which witnessed the withdrawal of Senegalese players and staff, and the invasion of their fans onto the pitch, resulting in chaos and acts of violence," the statement continued: "Considering that the sanctions issued by the Disciplinary Committee do not correspond to the severity and seriousness of these events, as confirmed by the official correspondence sent by the President of the Moroccan Football Federation to the President of the African Football Confederation, and in order to preserve all rights guaranteed by law, the Moroccan Football Federation has decided to file an appeal against these rulings."
