أثبت المنتخب السعودي تفوقه التاريخي على نظيره الفلسطيني خلال تسع مواجهات سابقة، جمعت المنتخبين في مختلف البطولات، بعدما نجح «الأخضر» في حصد خمسة انتصارات، مقابل أربعة تعادلات، دون أن يُسجّل المنتخب الفلسطيني أي فوز يُذكر في تلك اللقاءات، في مؤشر واضح على الفارق الفني الكبير بين المنتخبين خلال المواجهات المباشرة.
وتحمل مباراة المنتخبين السعودي والفلسطيني، ضمن منافسات الدور ربع النهائي من بطولة كأس العرب 2025، أهمية خاصة، كونها ستكون رابع مواجهة عربية تجمع المنتخبين في بطولة كأس العرب. وكانت البداية في نسخة 1992 حين خطف المنتخب السعودي الفوز بنتيجة 2-1، ثم حضر التعادل الإيجابي 2-2 في نسخة 2012، قبل أن يتكرر التعادل مجدداً بهدف لمثله في نسخة 2021 الماضية.
وسجلت أكبر نتيجة في تاريخ لقاءات المنتخبين خلال تصفيات كأس العالم 2022، حين قدّم «الأخضر» عرضاً هجومياً قوياً أنهاه بانتصار عريض قوامه خمسة أهداف دون رد أمام المنتخب الفلسطيني.

The match between the Saudi and Palestinian national teams, as part of the quarter-finals of the 2025 Arab Cup, holds special significance, as it will be the fourth Arab encounter between the two teams in the Arab Cup. It all began in the 1992 edition when the Saudi team snatched victory with a score of 2-1, followed by a positive draw of 2-2 in the 2012 edition, and then another draw of 1-1 in the last 2021 edition.
The largest result in the history of the encounters between the two teams was recorded during the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, when the "Green" delivered a strong attacking performance, finishing with a wide victory of five goals to none against the Palestinian team.
