أعلن وزير الخزانة الأمريكي سكوت بيسنت أن إدارة الرئيس ترمب منحت إعفاء من العقوبات لمدة 30 يوما لشراء النفط الإيراني في عرض البحر، بهدف تخفيف الضغوط على إمدادات الطاقة منذ اندلاع الحرب الأمريكية الإسرائيلية على إيران.
تخفيف الضغوط
وقال بيسنت في بيان على منصة إكس: «من خلال فتح هذا الإمداد الحالي مؤقتا للعالم، ستوفر الولايات المتحدة بسرعة نحو 140 مليون برميل من النفط للأسواق العالمية، مما يزيد من كمية الطاقة العالمية ويساعد في تخفيف الضغوط المؤقتة على الإمدادات التي تسببها إيران».
وأضاف بيسنت: «باختصار، سنستخدم البراميل الإيرانية ضد طهران لإبقاء الأسعار منخفضة بينما نواصل عملية ملحمة الغضب».
إعفاء مؤقت
وهذه المرة الثالثة التي تمنح فيها الولايات المتحدة إعفاء مؤقتا من العقوبات في غضون أسبوعين تقريبا.
وكانت الولايات المتحدة قد خففت سابقا العقوبات على النفط الروسي، وأصدرت ترخيصا عاما يتيح بيع النفط الخام والمنتجات البترولية الإيرانية المحملة على السفن اعتبارا من 20 مارس إلى 19 أبريل نيسان، وفقا للترخيص المنشور على الموقع الإلكتروني لوزارة الخزانة.
U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Pisent announced that the Trump administration granted a 30-day waiver from sanctions for purchasing Iranian oil at sea, aimed at alleviating pressure on energy supplies since the outbreak of the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran.
Alleviating Pressure
Pisent stated in a post on platform X: “By temporarily opening this current supply to the world, the United States will quickly provide about 140 million barrels of oil to global markets, increasing global energy supply and helping to alleviate the temporary pressures on supplies caused by Iran.”
Pisent added: “In short, we will use Iranian barrels against Tehran to keep prices low while we continue the process of the Wrath Saga.”
Temporary Waiver
This is the third time the United States has granted a temporary waiver from sanctions in about two weeks.
The United States had previously eased sanctions on Russian oil and issued a general license allowing the sale of Iranian crude oil and petroleum products loaded on ships from March 20 to April 19, according to the license published on the Treasury Department's website.
