أضاف فريق النجمة النقطة الأولى إلى رصيده في دوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين بعد تعادله مع مستضيفه ضمك 0-0، وذلك ضمن لقاءات الجولة التاسعة لدوري المحترفين.
وتعد هذه المواجهة هي أول مباراة لا يسجل فيها ضمك ولا يستقبل الأهداف، إذ سجل هدفاً واحداً فقط في كل مباراة من مبارياته الـ8 الأولى، وتعادل 1-1 في 4 مباريات أمام الحزم والشباب والفتح والرياض، بينما استقبل أكثر من هدف في المباريات الأربع الأخرى فخرج خاسراً.
وأصبح رصيد ضمك 5 نقاط بعد إضافة التعادل الخامس بلا أهداف، ويتفوق على الأخدود بـ 4 نقاط (مع تبقي مواجهة للأخدود غداً أمام الشباب). ويتفوق أيضاً على النجمة صاحب النقطة الواحدة.
وتجنب النجمة المصير الأسوأ الذي تعرض له الأنصار موسم 2011-2012، حين خسر 17 مباراة على التوالي ابتداء من مطلع الدوري، قبل تعادله 1-1 مع الاتفاق.
وتوقفت الخسائر المتتالية للنجمة عند المباريات الـ8 الأولى، بعدما نجح في الخروج بشباك نظيفة للمرة الأولى، في غياب فيكتور براغا، وحل مكانه في الذود عن الشباك الحارس البديل وليد العنزي.

This match is the first in which Dhamk neither scored nor conceded goals, as they had scored only one goal in each of their first 8 matches, and drew 1-1 in 4 matches against Al-Hazm, Al-Shabab, Al-Fateh, and Al-Riyadh, while conceding more than one goal in the other four matches, resulting in losses.
Dhamk's tally now stands at 5 points after adding its fifth goalless draw, surpassing Al-Akhidood by 4 points (with one match remaining for Al-Akhidood tomorrow against Al-Shabab). It also surpasses Al-Najma, which has one point.

The consecutive losses for Al-Najma stopped at the first 8 matches, as they managed to keep a clean sheet for the first time, in the absence of Victor Braga, with the substitute goalkeeper Walid Al-Anzi stepping in to defend the goal.
