أشاد رئيس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا) جياني إنفانتينو بالأجواء الكروية في المملكة، مؤكداً أن شغف الجماهير وروح المنافسة في الملاعب السعودية باتت تعكس المكانة العالمية المتنامية لكرة القدم في المنطقة.
وقال إنفانتينو في منشورٍ وثق فيه لحظة مصافحة قائد النصر «كريستيانو رونالدو» زميله قائد الاتحاد «كريم بنزيما» عبر حسابه الرسمي على "إنستغرام"، عقب حضوره مواجهة النصر والاتحاد في كأس الملك والتي كسبها الفريق الضيف بهدفين مقابل هدف، في مشهدٍ وصفه المتابعون بأنه يجسد الروح الرياضية بين نجمين من نجوم الكرة العالمية، ويؤكد جاذبية دوري روشن السعودي كأحد أهم الدوريات في العالم، :«في كل مكان أذهب إليه حول العالم، يكون من دواعي سروري حضور مباريات كرة القدم مباشرة، واليوم لم يكن مختلفاً»، وحرص إنفانتينو على تهنئة نادي الاتحاد، قائلاً :« تهانينا للاتحاد بعد فوزه على النصر ، لقد أظهرت المباراة أعلى مستوى لكرة القدم السعودية، مع لاعبين أمثال كريستيانو رونالدو وكريم بنزيما ونغولو كانتي وساديو ماني، من بين آخرين، قدموا عرضاً رائعاً»، مضيفا: «ضمنت أهداف حسام عوار وبنزيما تأهل الاتحاد إلى ربع النهائي، وأتقدم بالشكر لعضو مجلس الفيفا ورئيس الاتحاد السعودي، ياسر المسحل على كريم ضيافته».
ويواصل رئيس «فيفا» زياراته إلى عددٍ من المدن السعودية في إطار متابعة التطورات الرياضية والبنى التحتية المرتبطة بتنظيم البطولات والمنافسات القادمة.

Infantino said in a post documenting the moment when Al Nassr's captain "Cristiano Ronaldo" shook hands with his fellow captain of Al Ittihad "Karim Benzema" through his official account on Instagram, following his attendance at the match between Al Nassr and Al Ittihad in the King’s Cup, which the visiting team won 2-1. This scene was described by observers as embodying the sportsmanship between two stars of global football and confirming the appeal of the Roshn Saudi League as one of the most important leagues in the world: "Everywhere I go around the world, it is a pleasure for me to attend live football matches, and today was no different." Infantino made sure to congratulate Al Ittihad, saying: "Congratulations to Al Ittihad after their victory over Al Nassr. The match showcased the highest level of Saudi football, with players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kanté, and Sadio Mané, among others, delivering a fantastic performance," adding: "The goals from Hossam Aouar and Benzema secured Al Ittihad's qualification to the quarter-finals, and I would like to thank FIFA Council member and President of the Saudi Football Federation, Yasser Al-Mashal, for his generous hospitality."
The FIFA President continues his visits to several Saudi cities as part of monitoring the sports developments and infrastructure related to organizing upcoming tournaments and competitions.
