رفعت المنتخبات السعودية المشاركة في دورة الألعاب الآسيوية الثالثة «البحرين 2025» رصيدها من الميداليات إلى 14 ميدالية، بعد أن أضاف لاعب المنتخب السعودي للهجن، الهجان وسمي البلوي برونزية جديدة، ومثله لاعب أخضر رفع الأثقال عبدالله المحيميد الذي نجح في خطف ميدالية برونزية أخرى في منافسات اليوم.
وتوّج نائب رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية الأمير فهد بن جلوي بن عبدالعزيز بن مساعد، والنائب الأول لرئيس المجلس الأعلى للشباب والرياضة في البحرين رئيس الهيئة العامة للرياضة الشيخ خالد بن حمد آل خليفة، الفائزين بالمراكز الثلاثة الأولى في سباق الهجن.
وجاءت ميدالية البلوي بعد إحرازه المركز الثالث في مسابقة فردي الهجن للشباب، التي جرت اليوم في ميدان الاتحاد الرياضي العسكري بالمنامة، ونالت الإمارات المركزين الأول والثاني في المسابقة ذاتها التي شهدت مشاركة (13) دولة آسيوية، أمّا البرونزية السعودية الثانية التي أضيفت لرصيد المنتخبات السعودية في حصاد هذا اليوم وأحرزها لاعب أخضر رفع الأثقال عبدالله المحيميد، فقد كانت في مسابقة الخطف لوزن (65) كغم، بعد أن رفع (122) كغم، فيما نالت كوريا الشمالية المركز الأول بـ(124) كغم، وذهب المركز الثاني لكازاخستان بـ(123) كغم.
وعلى صعيد ثلاثي كرة الطاولة فاز ثلاثي فريق السعودية لكرة الطاولة؛ عبدالرحمن الطاهر، ونهال القحطاني، وسعود الطاهر، في لقاءات الجولة الثانية من دور المجموعات للفردي، وجاءت نتائج الفوز بتغلب سعود على اليمني وسام بخة بثلاثة أشواط نظيفة، وبالنتيجة ذاتها فازت نهال القحطاني على الكمبودية سوكون، والطاهر عبدالرحمن على اللبناني رامز الدقدوقي.
The participating Saudi teams in the third Asian Games "Bahrain 2025" have increased their medal tally to 14 medals, after the Saudi camel racing team player, the jockey Waseem Al-Balwi, added a new bronze medal, and similarly, the weightlifter from the Green Team, Abdullah Al-Muhimid, succeeded in snatching another bronze medal in today's competitions.
His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Jiluwi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaid, the Vice President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports in Bahrain and President of the General Sports Authority, crowned the winners of the top three positions in the camel racing.
The medal for Al-Balwi came after he secured third place in the youth individual camel racing competition, which took place today at the Military Sports Union field in Manama. The UAE took the first and second places in the same competition, which saw participation from 13 Asian countries. As for the second Saudi bronze medal added to the Saudi teams' tally today, it was achieved by weightlifter Abdullah Al-Muhimid in the snatch competition for the 65 kg weight category, after lifting 122 kg, while North Korea took first place with 124 kg, and Kazakhstan secured second place with 123 kg.
In table tennis, the trio from the Saudi table tennis team; Abdulrahman Al-Taher, Nihal Al-Qahtani, and Saud Al-Taher, won their matches in the second round of the singles group stage. The victories came with Saud defeating the Yemeni player Wissam Bakhah in three clean sets, and with the same result, Nihal Al-Qahtani won against the Cambodian player Sukon, while Al-Taher Abdulrahman defeated the Lebanese player Ramez Al-Daqdouqi.
