أبدى مدرب نادي السد القطري سيرجو أسفه بعد الخسارة أمام الهلال بثلاثة أهداف مقابل هدف، ضمن منافسات دوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة، مؤكدًا أن الهلال استحق الفوز بفضل سيطرته الواضحة في الشوط الأول.
وقال سيرجو في المؤتمر الصحفي بعد المباراة: «الشوط الأول كان فيه سيطرة كاملة للهلال، حاولنا في الشوط الثاني تقليص الفارق والعودة للمباراة، لكن الأمور لم تسر كما خططنا».
وأضاف: «أنا قلق لأنني المسؤول عن الفريق، لكننا حلّلنا كل شيء وسنواصل العمل لتصحيح الأخطاء. كرة القدم أحيانًا لا يمكن التنبؤ بها، فهي لعبة تفاصيل، وأحيانًا تحدث أخطاء طبيعية من اللاعبين».
وتابع المدرب حديثه: «الهلال يملك لاعبين مميزين في كل المراكز، مثل نيفيز وكوليبالي وسافيتش، وهم يشكلون خطورة كبيرة على أي دفاع، لذلك كان من الصعب السيطرة عليهم طوال المباراة».
وأضاف، يمكن أن يكون جزءا من السبب ما ذكرته في الجانب اللياقي، لكن في الوقت نفسه الهلال لعب بطريقة مختلفة عن المباراة السابقة، ولم يكن بنفس الأسلوب أو الإيقاع الذي ظهر به سابقًا.
وأضاف، من الواضح أننا نملك نقطتين فقط من ثلاث مباريات، لكن لدينا الكثير من الفرص لجمع 15 نقطة في المباريات القادمة.
واختتم سيرجو تصريحه قائلًا: «نحن مستعدون للعمل أكثر في التدريبات، درسنا كل الملاحظات، وسنعود أقوى في المباريات القادمة، فالفريق يمتلك روحًا عالية وإصرارًا على التعويض».
The coach of Qatar's Al-Sadd, Sergio, expressed his regret after the loss to Al-Hilal by three goals to one, in the AFC Champions League elite competition, confirming that Al-Hilal deserved the victory due to their clear dominance in the first half.
Sergio said in the press conference after the match: "The first half was completely dominated by Al-Hilal. We tried in the second half to reduce the deficit and get back into the game, but things did not go as we planned."
He added: "I am concerned because I am responsible for the team, but we have analyzed everything and will continue to work to correct the mistakes. Football can sometimes be unpredictable; it is a game of details, and sometimes natural mistakes happen from the players."
The coach continued: "Al-Hilal has outstanding players in every position, like Neymar, Koulibaly, and Savic, and they pose a significant threat to any defense, so it was difficult to control them throughout the match."
He added, part of the reason could be what I mentioned regarding fitness, but at the same time, Al-Hilal played differently than in the previous match, and it was not with the same style or rhythm they had shown before.
He added, it is clear that we have only two points from three matches, but we have many opportunities to collect 15 points in the upcoming matches.
Sergio concluded his statement by saying: "We are ready to work harder in training, we have studied all the observations, and we will come back stronger in the upcoming matches, as the team has a high spirit and determination to make a comeback."
