تواجد وزير الرياضة الأمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي الفيصل في تدريبات منتخبنا الوطني الأول لكرة القدم قبل المواجهة المرتقبة بمنتخب العراق التي ستقام الثلاثاء عند تمام الـ9:45م على استاد «الإنماء» بمدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية بجدة، في ختام لقاءات المجموعة الثانية للملحق الآسيوي المؤهل إلى كأس العالم 2026.
والتقى وزير الرياضة، بحضور رئيس الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم ياسر المسحل، نجوم منتخبنا الوطني قبيل بدء التدريبات، ووجه لهم بعض الكلمات التحفيزية، مؤكداً ثقته وثقة الجميع بهم في الوصول لكأس العالم للمرة السابعة في تاريخ الرياضة السعودية.
كما اجتمع وزير الرياضة بالجهاز الفني بقيادة المدرب الفرنسي هيرفي رينارد، ووقف على آخر استعدادات الأخضر للقاء المهم، وشاهد جزءاً من تدريبات المنتخب السعودي برفقة المسحل.
ويدخل منتخبنا الوطني لقاءه أمام العراق بفرصتَي الفوز أو التعادل للتأهل المباشر للمونديال، إذ يحتل الأخضر صدارة المجموعة الثانية برصيد 3 نقاط متفوقاً على وصيفه العراق بفارق الأهداف.

The Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, attended the training session of our national football team ahead of the anticipated match against Iraq, which will take place on Tuesday at 9:45 PM at the "Al-Inma" Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, concluding the matches of Group B in the Asian playoff for the 2026 World Cup.
The Minister of Sports, accompanied by the President of the Saudi Football Federation, Yasser Al-Mashal, met with the stars of our national team before the training began and delivered some motivational words, affirming his confidence and the confidence of everyone in them to reach the World Cup for the seventh time in the history of Saudi sports.
The Minister of Sports also met with the coaching staff led by French coach Hervé Renard, reviewing the latest preparations of the Green Falcons for the important match, and watched part of the Saudi team's training alongside Al-Mashal.
Our national team enters the match against Iraq with the chances of winning or drawing to qualify directly for the World Cup, as the Green Falcons lead Group B with 3 points, surpassing their runner-up Iraq on goal difference.
