تنطلق اليوم (الأربعاء) لقاءات الجولة الأولى للملحق الآسيوي المؤهل إلى كأس العالم 2026، إذ يستضيف المنتخب السعودي نظيره الإندونيسي الساعة 8:15 على ملعب الإنماء بمدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية ضمن الجولة الأولى من منافسات المجموعة الثانية.
ويخوض المنتخبان، إلى جانب العراق، منافسة قوية لحسم مصير التأهل إلى مونديال 2026 في (الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، والمكسيك، وكندا)، حيث يضمن صاحب المركز الأول فقط البطاقة المباشرة إلى كأس العالم القادمة.
يدخل المنتخب السعودي بقيادة المدرب الفرنسي هيرفي رينارد المواجهة بطموح التأهل إلى نهائيات كأس العالم للمرة الثالثة على التوالي والمرة السابعة في تاريخه، مستفيداً من خبرة مدربه الذي قاد المنتخب في كأس العالم 2022 بقطر، وكان الأخضر قد خاض مباراتين وديتين في فترة التوقف الدولي الماضية، فاز في الأولى على مقدونيا الشمالية (2/ 1)، وتعادل في الثانية مع التشيك (1/ 1).
وتشهد المواجهة المرتقبة لقاءً متجدداً بين خصمين يعرفان بعضهما جيداً، إذ سبق أن التقيا مرتين في المجموعة الثالثة من التصفيات الآسيوية – الطريق إلى كأس العالم 2026. وشهد ملعب الإنماء بمدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية بجدة مواجهة المنتخبين في سبتمبر 2024، عندما تعادل المنتخبان 1/ 1، قبل أن يحسم المنتخب الإندونيسي اللقاء الثاني بعد شهر واحد بالفوز 2-0 بفضل ثنائية مارسيلينو فيردينان.
أما المنتخب الإندونيسي بقيادة المدرب الهولندي باتريك كلويفرت، فقد واصل استعداداته من خلال مباراتين في النافذة الدولية لشهر سبتمبر، حيث تعادل مع لبنان (0-0) قبل أن يحقق فوزاً عريضاً على الصين تايبيه (6-0)، ليؤكد جاهزيته لخوض الملحق بروح عالية وطموح كبير.
وتستكمل مباريات الجولة الثانية السبت القادم، حيث يلتقي العراق مع إندونيسيا الساعة 10:30 مساء، على أن تشهد الجولة الثالثة والأخيرة يوم الثلاثاء القادم لقاء السعودية مع العراق الساعة 9:45 مساء.
ويتأهل إلى نهائيات كأس العالم صاحب المركز الأول في كل من المجموعتين الأولى والثانية، على أن ينتقل المنتخبان الحاصلان على المركز الثاني من أجل خوض الدور الإقصائي من ملحق التصفيات الآسيوية، لتحديد الفريق المتأهل إلى الملحق العالمي.

The Saudi national team, led by French coach Hervé Renard, enters the match with the ambition of qualifying for the World Cup finals for the third consecutive time and the seventh time in its history, benefiting from the experience of its coach who led the team in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The Green team had played two friendly matches during the last international break, winning the first against North Macedonia (2/1) and drawing the second with the Czech Republic (1/1).
The anticipated match features a renewed encounter between two opponents who know each other well, as they have previously met twice in Group C of the Asian qualifiers – the road to the 2026 World Cup. The Indonesian national team, led by Dutch coach Patrick Kluivert, has continued its preparations through two matches in the international window of September, where it drew with Lebanon (0-0) before achieving a resounding victory over Chinese Taipei (6-0), confirming its readiness to enter the playoff with high spirits and great ambition.
The matches of the second round will continue next Saturday, where Iraq will meet Indonesia at 10:30 PM, and the third and final round will witness a match between Saudi Arabia and Iraq next Tuesday at 9:45 PM.
The team that finishes in first place in both groups one and two will qualify for the World Cup finals, while the teams that finish in second place will move on to play the knockout round of the Asian qualifying playoff to determine the team that qualifies for the global playoff.
