رفع مهاجم فريق الهلال داروين نونيز عدد أهدافه القارية في أوروبا وآسيا إلى 22 هدفاً، وذلك بعد أن سجل أول الأهداف في شباك نادي الدحيل القطري، ضمن مباريات الجولة الأولى من دوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة، والتي تعتبر أول مواجهة يخوضها على صعيد البطولة القارية، وضم اللاعب الهدف الذي هز به شباك الدحيل أمس الأول إلى أهدافه في آخر مسابقتين قاريتين، إذ سبق له أن خاض مشواره الكروي في بطولتي كوبا ليبرتادوريس وكوبا سودأميريكانا، ولم يستطع التسجيل مع نادي بنيارول الأوروجوياني.
وحينما انتقل الأوروجوياني داروين نونيز للعب إلى الدوريات الأوروبية انتفض وبدأ تسجيل أهدافه القارية مع أندية «بنفيكا البرتغالي وليفربول الإنجليزي»، حيث زار الشباك في الدوري الأوروبي بـ«10 أهداف»، نصفها مع بنفيكا، والنصف الآخر برفقة ليفربول، وفي دوري أبطال أوروبا نجح في تسجيل 11 هدفاً، كانت 6 مع بنفيكا و5 أهداف مع ليفربول الإنجليزي.
