أُجريت صباح اليوم (الخميس) في مقر الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم بالعاصمة الماليزية كوالالمبور، قرعة تصفيات كأس آسيا للناشئات تحت 17 عامًا 2026، بمشاركة 27 منتخبًا آسيويًا، حيث تم بث مراسم القرعة عبر قناة الاتحاد الآسيوي الرسمية على منصة يوتيوب.
أسفرت القرعة عن وقوع المنتخب الوطني للناشئات تحت 17 عامًا في المجموعة الثانية (B)، إلى جانب منتخبات (إيران، لبنان، والكويت). وستُقام مباريات هذه المجموعة في مدينة الخبر خلال الفترة من 13 إلى 17 أكتوبر 2025.
وتُعد هذه المشاركة هي الأولى لمنتخب الناشئات في التصفيات القارية، ضمن خطط الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم التي تهدف إلى توسيع قاعدة المنتخبات النسائية في المملكة وتطويرها عبر المنافسات الرسمية على المستويين الإقليمي والقاري. ويشارك في التصفيات 27 منتخبًا آسيويًا تم تقسيمهم إلى 8 مجموعات، 3 منها تضم 4 منتخبات، و5 تضم 3 منتخبات، حيث يتأهل متصدر كل مجموعة إلى نهائيات كأس آسيا تحت 17 عامًا 2026، التي تستضيفها الصين مباشرة كدولة مستضيفة.
وتأتي مشاركة منتخب الناشئات في ظل تصاعد الحضور السعودي لكرة القدم النسائية، حيث سبق للمنتخب الوطني الأول للسيدات أن شارك في يوليو الماضي بتصفيات كأس آسيا للسيدات 2026 التي أقيمت في كمبوديا، بينما يشارك حاليًا منتخب الشابات في تصفيات كأس آسيا تحت 20 عامًا المقامة في مملكة بوتان.
وتُعد هذه البطولة محطة مهمة تمهد لمشاركة المنتخبات الآسيوية في كأس العالم للناشئات تحت 17 عامًا 2025 في المغرب، والتي يتأهل إليها 4 منتخبات من آسيا، إلى جانب الصين المستضيفة لنهائيات كأس آسيا تحت 17 عامًا.
وتُقام مباريات المجموعة التي تضم المنتخب في مدينة الدمام، في خطوة تعكس التزام المملكة بتوفير بيئة تنافسية متقدمة للفئات السنية، وتعزيز مكانتها كمركز إقليمي لاستضافة البطولات النسائية، بما يواكب الطموحات الوطنية في تطوير كرة القدم النسائية على المدى الطويل.

This morning (Thursday), the draw for the 2026 AFC U-17 Women's Asian Cup qualifiers was held at the Asian Football Confederation headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with the participation of 27 Asian teams. The draw ceremony was broadcast live on the AFC's official YouTube channel.
The draw resulted in the national U-17 girls' team being placed in Group B, alongside teams from Iran, Lebanon, and Kuwait. Matches for this group will take place in the city of Khobar from October 13 to 17, 2025.
This participation marks the first for the girls' team in the continental qualifiers, as part of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation's plans aimed at expanding and developing the women's teams in the Kingdom through official competitions at both regional and continental levels. A total of 27 Asian teams are participating in the qualifiers, divided into 8 groups, with 3 groups containing 4 teams and 5 groups containing 3 teams. The top team from each group will qualify for the 2026 U-17 Asian Cup finals, which will be hosted directly by China as the host country.
The participation of the girls' team comes amid the growing presence of Saudi women's football, as the senior women's national team previously participated in the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup qualifiers held in Cambodia last July, while the U-20 girls' team is currently participating in the U-20 Asian Cup qualifiers taking place in the Kingdom of Bhutan.
This tournament is an important milestone that paves the way for Asian teams to participate in the 2025 U-17 Women's World Cup in Morocco, where 4 teams from Asia will qualify, alongside China, which is hosting the U-17 Asian Cup finals.
The matches for the group that includes the national team will be held in the city of Dammam, reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to providing an advanced competitive environment for youth categories and enhancing its position as a regional hub for hosting women's tournaments, in line with national aspirations to develop women's football in the long term.
