The Al-Ahli Club management has begun the procedures to extend the contract of international star Ziad Al-Jahani early, before he enters the six-month (free) period, to ensure his continued presence with the Al-Ahli team as part of the club's technical project. Player Ziad Al-Jahani has caught attention with Al-Ahli, becoming one of the pillars of the Saudi Green Brigade led by French coach Hervé Renard. He is receiving significant attention from the Al-Ahli administration for renewal and to close the file on his contract early.

Al-Jahani started with Al-Ahli through the youth categories before being promoted to the first team in 2020, signing a professional contract with his club that ends in 2026.

On another note, the Al-Ahli team delegation has arrived in Austria to begin the first phase of the external training camp in preparation for competing in four local tournaments (Roshan Saudi Pro League and King’s Cup), continental (AFC Champions League), and global (FIFA Club World Cup).

The preparatory program for the new sports season includes three countries (Austria, Italy, and Spain), and the camp started yesterday (Monday) in Austria. The football team will play its first friendly match against Austrian club Tirol on July 18. After the first phase in Austria, the Al-Ahli delegation will head to Italy to participate in an international friendly tournament, starting its matches against Italian club Como on July 23, and will meet the winner of the match between Scottish Celtic and Dutch Ajax on July 27 or 28.

The Al-Ahli team will conclude its external camp in Spain, where it will play two friendly matches, the first against Spanish club Elche on August 1, and the second against UAE's Al Ain on August 5, in its last friendly matches before returning to Jeddah to start competing in the new season.
