حصل المهاجم الهلالي البرازيلي ماركوس ليوناردو، على جائزة أفضل لاعب في مباراة فريقه ضد مانشستر سيتي، ضمن دور الـ16 من كأس العالم للأندية 2025، بعد فوز «الهلال» (4-3) على ملعب كامبينج وورلد.
يذكر أن ليوناردو قدم أداءً رائعاً ومميزاً، وكان نقطة تحوّل في نتيجة اللقاء إذ سجّل هدف التعادل الأول، وسجل هدف التقدم الرابع، ليصبح اللاعب الحاسم في هذا الانتصار التاريخي، وليرفع رصيده إلى 3 أهداف في هذه البطولة.
وقال ليوناردو عقب المباراة: «الكثير لا يعلمون بما أعانيه في الشهور الأخيرة، والدتي تعاني في المستشفى، وكانت تعيش على الأنابيب، الحمد لله حاليّاً صحتها أفضل، وأشكر والدي ووالدتي وأختي فهم سندي دائماً، وبدعواتهم أحقق النجاح، ودونهم ما كنت سأحقق ما أنا عليه اليوم».
واختتم حديثه: «واجهت فترة عصيبة في الشهرين الماضيين، أمضت والدتي 70 يوماً في العناية المركزة، واليوم هي بخير الحمد لله، عندما سجلت الهدفين تذكرتها، وهي شاهدت المباراة؛ لذلك علينا أن نفكر في عائلاتنا».

The Brazilian forward of Al-Hilal, Marcos Leonardo, won the award for Best Player in his team's match against Manchester City, in the Round of 16 of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, after "Al-Hilal" won (4-3) at the Camping World Stadium.
It is worth mentioning that Leonardo delivered a remarkable and outstanding performance, being a turning point in the match's outcome as he scored the first equalizing goal and the fourth leading goal, making him the decisive player in this historic victory, raising his tally to 3 goals in this tournament.
Leonardo said after the match: "Many do not know what I have been going through in recent months; my mother has been in the hospital, living on tubes. Thank God her health is better now, and I thank my father, mother, and sister as they are always my support. With their prayers, I achieve success, and without them, I would not have reached where I am today."
He concluded his remarks: "I faced a tough period in the past two months; my mother spent 70 days in intensive care, and today she is fine, thank God. When I scored the two goals, I remembered her, and she watched the match; therefore, we must think about our families."
