توّج لاعب المنتخب السعودي للإسكواش حسين الخويلدي بلقب بطولة السويد الدولية تحت 11 عامًا لأول مرة في تاريخه، وذلك بعد فوزه على السويدي هنري جوين 3 - 0 في المباراة النهائية التي أقيمت في مدينة مالمو السويدية بمشاركة 30 لاعبًا يمثلون 18 دولة خلال الفترة من 3-5 أكتوبر.
وبدأ اللاعب السعودي مشواره في البطولة بالفوز على النرويجي وليم بيلاك 3 - 0 قبل أن يخوض الدور نصف النهائي أمام الدانماركي زيدان رشيد، حيث كسبه 3 - 0، وفي المباراة النهائية تفوق على السويدي هنري جوين 3 - 0.
وهنأ رئيس الاتحاد السعودي للإسكواش الدكتور عادل العقيلي -من جانبه- اللاعب حسين الخويلدي على هذا الإنجاز المميز، مشيدًا بالمستوى الفني الكبير الذي قدمه خلال منافسات البطولة.
وأكد العقيلي أن هذا التتويج يعكس ثمار العمل المتواصل الذي يقوم به الاتحاد في دعم المواهب الناشئة وصقل مهاراتها.
وقال: نؤمن بقدرة لاعبينا على المنافسة وتحقيق البطولات في مختلف المحافل الدولية، وما قدمه حسين الخويلدي في بطولة السويد الدولية يُعد إنجازًا وطنيًّا يُسجل باسم رياضة الإسكواش السعودية، ونتطلع إلى استمرار هذا التميز في المراحل القادمة.

The Saudi national squash player Hussein Al-Khuwaildi was crowned the champion of the Sweden International Championship under 11 years old for the first time in his history, after defeating the Swedish player Henry Gwin 3 - 0 in the final match held in the city of Malmö, Sweden, with the participation of 30 players representing 18 countries from October 3-5.
The Saudi player began his journey in the tournament by winning against the Norwegian William Pilak 3 - 0 before facing the Danish Zidan Rashid in the semi-finals, where he won 3 - 0. In the final match, he triumphed over the Swedish Henry Gwin 3 - 0.
The President of the Saudi Squash Federation, Dr. Adel Al-Aqeeli, congratulated player Hussein Al-Khuwaildi on this remarkable achievement, praising the high technical level he displayed during the tournament competitions.
Al-Aqeeli confirmed that this victory reflects the fruits of the continuous work carried out by the federation in supporting emerging talents and honing their skills.
He said: "We believe in our players' ability to compete and achieve championships in various international arenas, and what Hussein Al-Khuwaildi accomplished in the Sweden International Championship is a national achievement recorded in the name of Saudi squash, and we look forward to the continuation of this excellence in the coming stages."
