أشاد أسطورة كرة القدم المصرية طاهر أبو زيد بالمستوى المميز الذي يقدمه منتخب بلاده في بطولة كأس العالم 2026، مؤكداً أن مواجهة الأرجنتين، المقررة اليوم (الثلاثاء) ضمن منافسات دور الـ16، ستكون في غاية الصعوبة.
الثقة سلاح منتخب مصر
وقال طاهر أبو زيد في تصريحات خاصة لـ«عكاظ»: «مواجهة الأرجنتين صعبة، وتختلف تماماً عن جميع مواجهات منتخب مصر السابقة في كأس العالم، لكن الثقة التي اكتسبها المنتخب من المباريات الماضية، وعدم تلقيه أي هزيمة حتى الآن، يجعلان اللاعبين يرفضون فكرة الخسارة في أي وقت».
الأرجنتين الأوفر حظاً.. والمفاجآت واردة
وأضاف: «المنتخب الأرجنتيني أكثر خبرة وجرأة وتمرساً، والمعطيات تصب في صالحه، لكن كرة القدم علمتنا أن المفاجآت واردة، لذلك نتمنى أن يحقق منتخبنا الوطني مفاجأة أمام الأرجنتين، خصوصاً أنها ستكون مواجهة مفتوحة وليست حذرة، لأنها مباراة إقصائية، وبالتالي ستكون هناك فعالية من الطرفين».
الالتزام الخططي وتجنب الأخطاء
وتابع: «على منتخب مصر الالتزام بالأداء الخططي والروح الإيجابية، فهما سلاحنا في المباراة، مع مزيد من الحذر واليقظة، وتجنب الأخطاء المؤثرة أمام بطل العالم».

وحول رأيه في ما قدمه المدرب حسام حسن مع المنتخب المصري حتى الآن، قال «مارادونا النيل»: «حسام حسن حقق ما لم يحققه أي مدرب مصري أو أجنبي على مر التاريخ».
مشوار مصر في المونديال
ونجح منتخب مصر، بقيادة مدربه حسام حسن، في تجاوز دور المجموعات للمرة الأولى في تاريخه، بعدما تعادل مع بلجيكا 1-1، وفاز على نيوزيلندا 3-1، محققاً أول انتصار مونديالي في تاريخه، ثم تعادل مع إيران 1-1، ليحتل وصافة المجموعة السابعة برصيد خمس نقاط.
وفي دور الـ32، تغلب المنتخب المصري على أستراليا بركلات الترجيح بنتيجة 4-2، عقب انتهاء الوقتين الأصلي والإضافي بالتعادل 1-1، ليضرب موعداً نارياً مع الأرجنتين.
