استعاد أرسنال نغمة الانتصارات في الدوري الإنجليزي (بريميرليغ)، بعد تفوقه على مضيفه ليدز برباعية نظيفة في المباراة التي أقيمت أمس (السبت) على ملعب «إيلاند رود»، في إطار منافسات الجولة الـ24.
وكان أرسنال قد أهدر سبع نقاط من أصل تسع في آخر ثلاث جولات في المسابقة، بالتعادل دون أهداف مع كل من ليفربول ونوتنغهام فورست، إلى جانب الهزيمة أمام مانشستر يونايتد 3-2 في الجولة الماضية.
أهداف المباراة
افتتح مارتن زوبيميندي التسجيل لأرسنال في الدقيقة 27، قبل أن يسجل لاعب ليدز كارل دارلو هدفاً بالخطأ في مرماه في الدقيقة 38، لينهي «المدفعجية» الشوط الأول 2-0.
وفي الدقيقة 69، وقع فيكتور غيوكيريس على ثالث أهداف الضيوف، ثم اختتم غابرييل جيسوس حفلة أهداف أرسنال بتسجيل الرابع قبل أربع دقائق من نهاية الوقت الأصلي.
ترتيب الفريقين
بهذه النتيجة، رفع أرسنال رصيده إلى 53 نقطة في صدارة الترتيب، بفارق سبع نقاط عن مانشستر سيتي الذي يخوض اختباراً صعباً ضد توتنهام غداً ضمن منافسات الجولة ذاتها.
في المقابل، تجمد رصيد ليدز يونايتد عند 26 نقطة في المركز الـ16 بعد تلقيه الهزيمة العاشرة هذا الموسم.
Arsenal regained their winning rhythm in the English Premier League after defeating their hosts Leeds with a clean four-goal victory in the match held yesterday (Saturday) at Elland Road, as part of the 24th round of the competition.
Arsenal had dropped seven points out of nine in their last three rounds in the competition, drawing 0-0 with both Liverpool and Nottingham Forest, in addition to losing 3-2 to Manchester United in the previous round.
Match Goals
Martin Zubimendi opened the scoring for Arsenal in the 27th minute, before Leeds player Karl Darlow scored an own goal in the 38th minute, ending the first half with the "Gunners" leading 2-0.
In the 69th minute, Viktor Gyökeres scored the third goal for the visitors, and Gabriel Jesus capped off Arsenal's goal fest by scoring the fourth just four minutes before the end of regular time.
Team Standings
With this result, Arsenal raised their tally to 53 points at the top of the standings, seven points ahead of Manchester City, who face a tough test against Tottenham tomorrow in the same round.
Meanwhile, Leeds United's points remain at 26 in 16th place after suffering their tenth defeat this season.
