أعلن نادي مانشستر سيتي اليوم الثلاثاء تقريره السنوي لموسم 2024-2025، مؤكداً تحقيق ثالث أعلى إيرادات في تاريخه، رغم غيابه عن منصات التتويج للمرة الأولى منذ 8 أعوام.
أوضح التقرير أن نهج النادي طويل الأمد في تنويع مصادر الدخل انعكس على الإيرادات التي بلغت 694.1 مليون جنيه إسترليني، مع تسجيل خسارة هامشية قدرها 9.9 مليون جنيه إسترليني.
وبحسب المعايير التي اعتاد النادي اعتمادها في المواسم الماضية، اعتُبرت المشاركة في دوري أبطال أوروبا للموسم الـ15 على التوالي، واحتلال المركز الثالث في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز، نتائج أقل من الطموحات.
وشهد الموسم استثمارات إستراتيجية على صعيد الفريق الأول، تمثلت في التعاقد مع تيجاني ريندرز، وريان شيركي، ونيكو غونزاليس، إلى جانب تأكيد المهاجم إيرلينغ هالاند، أحد أكثر اللاعبين تسجيلاً للأهداف على مستوى العالم، استمراره مع النادي خلال العقد القادم.
وعلى الصعيد الإداري، اختتم تشيكي بيجيريستين مسيرته مديراً رياضياً لنادي مانشستر سيتي بعد 13 عاماً من النجاحات، على أن يتولى هوغو فيانا المنصب ذاته، حيث رافق بيجيريستين خلال المرحلة الانتقالية لضمان انتقال سلس للمهمات.
كما شهدت نهاية الموسم ختام مسيرة امتدت لعقد كامل للاعب كيفن دي بروين، أحد أبرز نجوم مانشستر سيتي، بعد 10 أعوام حافلة بالإنجازات.
Manchester City announced its annual report for the 2024-2025 season today, Tuesday, confirming that it achieved the third highest revenue in its history, despite being absent from the podium for the first time in 8 years.
The report clarified that the club's long-term approach to diversifying income sources reflected in revenues that reached £694.1 million, with a marginal loss of £9.9 million.
According to the standards the club has been accustomed to in past seasons, participation in the Champions League for the 15th consecutive season and finishing third in the Premier League were considered results below expectations.
The season saw strategic investments in the first team, including the signing of Tijani Reijnders, Ryan Cherki, and Nico Gonzalez, along with the confirmation that striker Erling Haaland, one of the world's top goal scorers, will continue with the club for the next decade.
On the administrative front, Txiki Begiristain concluded his career as sporting director of Manchester City after 13 years of success, with Hugo Viana taking over the same position, having accompanied Begiristain during the transition phase to ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities.
The end of the season also marked the conclusion of a decade-long career for player Kevin De Bruyne, one of Manchester City's standout stars, after 10 years filled with achievements.
