حقق نيوكاسل يونايتد فوزاً ثميناً على ضيفه مانشستر سيتي بهدفين مقابل هدف، في المباراة التي أقيمت أمس (السبت) على ملعب «سانت جيمس بارك»، ضمن منافسات الجولة الـ12 من مسابقة الدوري الإنجليزي «بريميرليغ».
افتتح هارفي بارنز التسجيل لصالح نيوكاسل في الدقيقة 64، بعدما استقبل كرة من برونو غيمارايش على حافة منطقة الجزاء وسددها بقوة باتجاه القائم الأيسر داخل الشباك.
ولم يتأخر مانشستر سيتي في إدراك التعادل، إذ سجل روبن دياز هدفاً في الدقيقة 68 بتسديدة قوية داخل منطقة الجزاء، فشل الدفاع في إبعادها عن المرمى.
بارنز يُحبط صحوة السيتي
وواصل بارنز تألقه، إذ تابع كرة ارتدت من العارضة بعد تسديدة من برونو غيمارايش، ليضعها في المرمى مسجلاً الهدف الثاني في الدقيقة 70.
بهذه النتيجة، تجمّد رصيد مانشستر سيتي عند 22 نقطة في المركز الثالث في جدول ترتيب البريميرليغ، بينما رفع نيوكاسل رصيده إلى 15 نقطة ليصعد إلى المركز الـ14.
Newcastle United achieved a valuable victory over their guest Manchester City with a score of two goals to one, in the match that took place yesterday (Saturday) at St. James' Park, as part of the 12th round of the English Premier League.
Harvey Barnes opened the scoring for Newcastle in the 64th minute, after receiving a ball from Bruno Guimarães on the edge of the penalty area and powerfully shooting it towards the left post into the net.
Manchester City did not take long to equalize, as Ruben Dias scored a goal in the 68th minute with a powerful shot inside the penalty area, which the defense failed to clear from the goal.
Barnes Thwarts City's Comeback
Barnes continued to shine, as he followed up on a ball that rebounded off the crossbar after a shot from Bruno Guimarães, placing it into the net to score the second goal in the 70th minute.
With this result, Manchester City's points remained at 22 in third place in the Premier League standings, while Newcastle raised their points to 15, climbing to 14th place.
