أعلن الاتحاد الفرنسي لكرة القدم غياب قائد المنتخب كيليان مبابي عن المباراة القادمة أمام أذربيجان في الجولة الأخيرة من تصفيات كأس العالم 2026، المقررة الأحد القادم، وذلك بسبب معاناته من مشكلة في الكاحل.
وقال الاتحاد الفرنسي في بيان: «لا يزال مبابي يعاني من التهاب في الكاحل الأيمن، وسيخضع لفحوصات اليوم في مدريد».
وقد قاد مبابي منتخب «الديوك» للتأهل إلى كأس العالم 2026 بعد أن سجل هدفين في فوز فرنسا الكبير على أوكرانيا برباعية نظيفة، أمس (الخميس)، ضمن منافسات الجولة الخامسة من التصفيات الأوروبية.
موقف مبابي من مواجهة إلتشي
ووفقاً لصحيفة «آس» الإسبانية، فإن استبعاد مبابي من مواجهة أذربيجان جاء كإجراء احترازي في ظل ضمان منتخب فرنسا التأهل إلى المونديال، وسيكون اللاعب جاهزاً للمشاركة مع ريال مدريد في المباراة القادمة ضد إلتشي في الدوري الإسباني، المقررة يوم الأحد 23 نوفمبر.
وأشارت الصحيفة إلى أن مبابي سيبدأ تدريباته مع لاعبي ريال مدريد غير الدوليين في أقرب وقت ممكن، استعدادًا لمباريات الفريق القادمة.

The French federation stated in a statement: "Mbappé is still suffering from inflammation in his right ankle and will undergo tests today in Madrid."
Mbappé led the "Les Bleus" to qualify for the 2026 World Cup after scoring two goals in France's impressive 4-0 victory over Ukraine yesterday (Thursday) in the fifth round of the European qualifiers.
Mbappé's Status for the Elche Match
According to the Spanish newspaper "AS," Mbappé's exclusion from the match against Azerbaijan was a precautionary measure given that the French team has secured qualification for the World Cup, and the player will be ready to participate with Real Madrid in the upcoming match against Elche in La Liga, scheduled for Sunday, November 23.
The newspaper noted that Mbappé will begin training with Real Madrid's non-international players as soon as possible, in preparation for the team's upcoming matches.
