أنهى المنتخب البرازيلي الشوط الأول متقدماً بهدفين دون رد، سجلهما باولو هنريكي وغابرييل مارتينيلي في الدقيقتين 26 و32.
وفي الشوط الثاني، قلص تاكومي مينامينو الفارق لليابان في الدقيقة 52، قبل أن يسجل فابريسيو برونو، مدافع البرازيل، هدفاً بالخطأ في مرماه، لتتعادل النتيجة.
واكتملت الريمونتادا اليابانية في الدقيقة 71، برأسية قوية من أياسي أويدا، ليحقق «الساموراي» أول انتصار في تاريخه على «السيليساو» بعد 14 لقاء.

The Brazilian team ended the first half leading with two unanswered goals, scored by Paulo Henrique and Gabriel Martinelli in the 26th and 32nd minutes.
In the second half, Takumi Minamino reduced the deficit for Japan in the 52nd minute, before Fabrício Bruno, the Brazilian defender, scored an own goal, leveling the score.
The Japanese comeback was completed in the 71st minute with a powerful header from Ayase Ueda, marking the "Samurai" team's first victory in history over the "Seleção" after 14 encounters.
It is worth noting that both teams have secured qualification for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
