بات منتخب غانا على أعتاب الوصول إلى كأس العالم 2026 بعد فوزه القوي على نظيره أفريقيا الوسطى بنتيجة (5-0) في المباراة التي جمعتهما على ملعب «بن محمد العبدي» في مدينة مكناس بالمغرب، ضمن منافسات الجولة التاسعة للمجموعة التاسعة من التصفيات الأفريقية المؤهلة للمونديال.
وافتتح التسجيل محمد ساليسو في الدقيقة (22)، ثم أضاف توماس بارتي في الدقيقة (52)، وعزز التقدم ألكساندر دجيكو في الدقيقة (69)، وبعد دقيقتين فقط أضاف المخضرم جوردان أيو الهدف الرابع لغانا، ثم اختتم كمال الدين سليمانا الخماسية للمنتخب الضيف.
وفي الجولة نفسها، فاز منتخب مدغشقر على جزر القمر بنتيجة (2-1) في المباراة التي جمعتهما على ملعب «فيلكس هوفيت بوانيي» في ساحل العاج.
وسجل كليمت كورتورييه الهدف الأول لمنتخب مدغشقر في الدقيقة (11)، ثم عزز التقدم الهاداري راهيرينيانيا في الدقيقة (73)، بينما قلص الفارق لجزر القمر رفيقي سعيد في الدقيقة (81)، وشهدت المباراة حالة طرد لسالم بن بوينا من مدغشقر في الوقت بدل الضائع للشوط الثاني.
كما فاز منتخب مالي على مضيفه التشادي بنتيجة (2-0) في المباراة التي جمعتهما على «ملعب المارشال إدريس ديبي إيتنو الأولمبي»، وأحرز هدفي مالي لاعبه كاموري دومبيا في الدقيقتين (7، 74).
وبهذه النتائج يتصدر منتخب غانا الترتيب برصيد 22 نقطة بفارق ثلاث نقاط عن منتخب مدغشقر صاحب المركز الثاني (19 نقطة)، ويتمتع منتخب غانا بفارق أهداف (+16) أما منتخب مدغشقر فلديه فارق أهداف (+8)، قبل جولة واحدة من نهاية التصفيات، وسيلاقي منتخب غانا منتخب جزر القمر، صاحب المركز الرابع بـ15 نقطة يوم الأحد القادم في ختام دور المجموعات، ويحتاج للفوز أو التعادل للتأهل رسمياً للمونديال، فيما يحل مدغشقر ضيفاً على مالي صاحب المركز الثالث بـ15 نقطة، وإذا ما أراد منتخب مدغشقر التأهل فعليه الفوز بفارق (+8 أهداف) مع خسارة غانا من جزر القمر، ورغم أنه من الصعب حدوث ذلك، إلا أن كرة القدم لا تعرف المستحيل.

The Ghana national team is on the verge of reaching the 2026 World Cup after a strong victory over the Central African Republic with a score of (5-0) in the match held at the "Ben Mohamed Al-Abdi" stadium in Meknes, Morocco, as part of the ninth round of Group 9 in the African qualifiers for the World Cup.
Mohamed Salisu opened the scoring in the (22nd) minute, followed by Thomas Partey in the (52nd) minute, and Alexander Djiku strengthened the lead in the (69th) minute. Just two minutes later, veteran Jordan Ayew added the fourth goal for Ghana, and Kamal Deen Sulemana capped off the five-goal tally for the visiting team.
In the same round, Madagascar defeated Comoros with a score of (2-1) in the match held at the "Felix Houphouet-Boigny" stadium in Ivory Coast.
Klimt Courtois scored the first goal for Madagascar in the (11th) minute, and the lead was extended by Raheriniaina in the (73rd) minute, while Rafiqi Said reduced the deficit for Comoros in the (81st) minute. The match also saw a red card for Salem Ben Bouina from Madagascar in stoppage time of the second half.
Additionally, Mali won against their hosts Chad with a score of (2-0) in the match held at the "Marshal Idriss Deby Itno Olympic Stadium," with both goals scored by Mali's player Kamory Doumbia in the (7th and 74th) minutes.
