حقق بوروسيا دورتموند الألماني فوزه الأول في دوري أبطال أوروبا على حساب ضيفه أتلتيك بلباو بأربعة أهداف لهدف، في اللقاء الذي جمع بينهما على استاد سينغال ايدونا بارك في ألمانيا، ضمن لقاءات الجولة الثانية من المسابقة.
أحرز أهداف دورتموند دانيال سفينسون (د:28) وكارني تشوكويميكا (د:50) وسيرو جيراسي (د:82) وجوليان براندت (د:90+1)، فيما جاء هدف أتلتيك بلباو عن طريق غوركا غوروزيتا (د:61).
شهد اللقاء بداية قوية لأصحاب الأرض والجمهور فريق دورتموند لتحقيق الانتصار الأول بعد التعادل المثير الذي حققه في افتتاحية لقاءاته أمام مستضيفه يوفنتوس الإيطالي (4/ 4)، ومن هجمة منظمة مرر كريم أديمي الكرة لزميله دانيال سفينسون ليسددها قوية عجز الحارس أوناي سيمون عن التصدي لها لتسكن الشباك هدفاً أول لدورتموند (د:28)، وفي الشوط الثاني ضاعف الفريق الألماني النتيجة بعد أن مرر سيرو جيراسي كرة قصيرة لزميله كارني تشوكويميكا الذي راوغ المدافع وسددها أرضية في الزاوية الضيقة هدفاً ثانياً لدورتموند (د:50)، وتمكن أتلتيك بلباو من تقليص النتيجة بعد أن استغل غوركا غوروزيتا خطأ دفاعياً في إبعاد الكرة ليسددها قوية في الشباك هدفاً لبلباو (د:61)، وسرعان ما عاد دورتموند للتقدم بفارق هدفين بعد أن أحرز الهدف الثالث عن طريق سيرو جيراسي بعد أن سدد زميله سابيتزر كرة أرضية لترتطم بقدم جيراسي ليتغير اتجاهها وتسكن الشباك هدفاً ثالثاً لدورتموند (د:82)، وفي الوقت بدل الضائع أضاف جوليان براندت الهدف الرابع لأصحاب الأرض (د:90+1)، لينتهي اللقاء بفوز دورتموند بأربعة أهداف لهدف.

Borussia Dortmund achieved their first victory in the UEFA Champions League at the expense of their guest Athletic Bilbao, winning four goals to one, in the match held at Signal Iduna Park in Germany, as part of the second round of the competition.
Dortmund's goals were scored by Daniel Svensson (28'), Carney Chukwuemeka (50'), Serhou Guirassy (82'), and Julian Brandt (90+1'), while Athletic Bilbao's goal came from Gorka Guruzeta (61').
